  1. I had a July 29th date. I'm just coming out of a month long stall. Right now I'm down 67 pounds since my pre-op diet started. 14 of that was before surgery. Feel great, if I never see another protein shake again I'll be a happy man. I started doing homemade beef jerky for some snacks and that seems to kill two birds with one stone with the protein and low calorie. Just keep on doing what we're doing and hold things will happen. I really miss having a beer every so often but I'll take the trade off. Good luck!
  2. I'm just two and a half weeks out and I can say it's different. Tough to wrap your head around the fact that a half of a cup will fill you but it really does right now. Honestly you have to want it. The best advice I can give is do it if you're ready. It's kind of like quitting smoking. You're only going to be successful if you want it. My toughest part was the protein shakes. I could care less if I ever have another but I got through it. Now the puréed stage is heaven. I had a cheeseburger and fries puréed last night, should last me four meals. It tastes just like it would at the restaurant just puréed. Tough to explain how great one feels knowing that you're getting healthier every passing day. It's been a long time since I've felt this good.
  3. I like to add 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk, brings the protein up to 21 grams protein, doesn't affect the flavor either.
  4. Basically boil chicken broth and swirl in beaten eggs as it's boiling. Add about a tbs of corn starch with a couple tablespoons of soy sauce in a bowl. Dump that into the soup part and cook for a couple minutes. Garnish with some green onion. It's pretty good.
  5. Everything went pretty darn good. The only snag we came across was I am a little dehydrated but the doc said I could go home anyway. He told me through the entire surgery I lost a total of 30 ml of blood. I find this absolutely amazing it's that little. The pain level is tolerable and I feel great knowing I have done this to live a healthier lifestyle.
  6. Thanks, and I sure will!
  7. Excited tomorrow is finally here. It's been so long since I've felt good about myself, I'm looking forward to feeling healthy and being healthy!
