My surgery date is 12/16. I started the 6mo process back in April and received my approval from Aetna on 11/14. No pre-op diet. I'm very excited, but get more and more nervous as it gets closer!

That's awesome! I have Aetna Choice POSII I love them, have never had an issue and with my wls I was approved within two weeks of submission with no hassles!

Congratulations! My surgery date is also December 16th, and I'm having the bypass as well!????

I'm going thru ALSA and having my surgery there on 12/16. So far I couldn't be more happy with ALSA, very happy I found them! And I took my nutrition class at Fresno Heart & surgical Hospital...very nice place!

That's awesome! I'm thankful that I finished all of my steps and that I received my insurance approval and my surgery date before the end of the year, because we just had open enrollment at work and come to find that they are dropping bariatric surgery from their coverage! I cannot believe how close I cut that!

No pre-op diet here, just nothing after midnight the night before like most other types of surgeries.

I have Aetna as well and it took two weeks to the day to get my approval. Not bad but it felt like forever!!

Just approved today, surgery December 16th!
