  1. I live in MD and only had to do a 3 month which was what my insurance required.
  2. Having SF Popsicles, jello, crystal lite is what I was told to eat/drink to get my fluids in. Nutritional value or not, I would be severely dehydrated without them.
  3. I'll be leaving for the hospital in about an hour! After spending all last week with high anxiety about the surgery I feel strangely calm right now. All you sleevers that have already been sleeved...move over on that losers bench and make some room for me!!!!!
  4. I actually live in Southern Maryland. Thanks for the well wishes!!!
  5. Hi Jenn! I am both excited and nervous, but mostly ready for this to be over!! I really like Dr. Moazzez, too. He let me do a 1 week pre-op diet instead of the normal 2 week, because I can't stand the taste of the Protein shakes! Plus, he told me to get whatever kind I can drink, although this was after I paid for the stuff they make you buy at the office! Oh well. I'm just glad I am not having to drink it!! I hope you like it when it's your time to start. I will let you know how all goes once I get home! Thanks for thinking about me!! See you on the other side!!!!!
  6. CONGRATULATIONS!!! November will be here before you know it!!!
  7. You should check out this blog. A TON of recipes!! http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com
  8. I have tried the Premier and it was better than the stuff from the surgeons office. I might just drink those next week!
  9. Hey that's a good idea with the banana! What flavor shake are you putting it in? I have Chocolate, Iced Latte and Vanilla.
  10. I'm glad you are able to tolerate the shakes and stuff so well. I felt sick to my stomach all day yesterday because the shakes are just too sweet for me - and the soup UGH!! I choked down a shake this morning, but I also saw the surgeon today and I told him how bad yesterday was. He told me I could do just one week instead of two - so I got a reprieve! I'm going to have to try some other shakes next week or I'm not going to make it.
  11. Best of luck to you!! Keep us posted on how you're doing!!!!
  12. Are you with Bluepoint?
  13. Mine is the same...Bariatric Advantage. I just tried the soup and ugh, it's going to be a very long 2 weeks!!!
  14. Krimrod: I have the same exact diet and I started mine today, too. I've only had 2 shakes so far...don't like them, but trying to choke them down. Will be trying the soup in just a little bit. The bar wasn't too bad. Best of luck to you!!!
  15. My surgery is 10/21, too! I'm starting the liquid diet tomorrow as well. Best of luck to you and I'll be thinking of you as I'm being rolled into surgery!! ????
  16. I had to do the 3 month program, too. I guess it depends on your insurance, but it took less than a week for my approval. Surgery is October 21! Best of luck to you!!!!!!!
  17. Hope you have a speedy recovery and best of luck to you on your journey!!!
  18. Good luck...thinking of you today!!!!
  19. Hi Beni! My date is October 21 with Dr. Moazzez. I'm really excited and can't wait for it to be over now!! 19 more days!! Good luck with your surgery and keep us posted!!!
  20. I already had my gallbladder removed several years ago so it's not an issue for me, but from what I have read...I think I would see about having it removed during the WLS.
  21. Congrats and best of luck to you!!!! I am so ready for this!!
  22. Thanks, Jenn! I am so ready for this!!!!
  23. Congrats Mona! This has gotten very real now...I feel incredible and so ready for this!!!
