  1. Sending prayers your way! Please keep us updated, we are all worried.
  2. I have been on full liquids for four weeks now, 2 weeks pre op and 2 weeks post op and I can honestly say I have never been so sick of anything in my life - these last few days before I see my doctor have been hell. I dont want to eat anything because I am sick of all of it but have been forcing myself because I know the end results will be worth it. Good luck with your journey and just think it will be worth it in the end!
  3. I will also be 2 weeks out on the 26th...didnt have a bm for about 6 days after surgery and was given a mild laxative...man did that work and I wont be taking that again because there was tremendous cramping. My bm's have also been "watery" since I started liquid diet almost 4 weeks ago (2 weeks pre and 2 weeks post). I think it is pretty normal but definitely ask your doctor.

    Food stage help

I am just 9 days post op so I am still doing the liquids...I am so looking forward to the pureed food stage. I see my Dr. on the day before Thanksgiving...hoping he releases me to pureed food stage so that I can have a little something at Thanksgiving dinner.
  7. I had surgery on November 12th in the morning and was released the 13th around 7pm. My doctor had certain criteria that had to be met before I could be released and I met them with flying colors so I was able to leave. Another girl that had surgery the same day wasnt able to be released that night because she had some complications with the anethesia.
  8. I am also scheduled for November 12th. I have days of overwhelming fear and other days of just wanting to get it done and start a new life. I have been even more emotional since starting the 2 week pre op diet 6 days ago. Three shakes a day (can only stand the Premier Protein chocolate and strawberry Creme) and broth, sf pudding, sf Jello, greek yogurt without chucks (which I cant stand, makes my stomach turn) and sf popsicles. Good luck to all of you!
  9. I'm scheduled for the 12th...this site has been a life saver for me!

    "My monthly visitor"

I am so glad I saw this post! I am scheduled for surgery on Nov. 12th and that is the day I should be starting. I remember wearing those mesh panties in the hospital after having my babies... Good luck to all you about ready to have or have had your surgery!
  11. I am starting my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow, with surgery being on November 12th, and am scared to death that I wont be able to stick with it. I wish all of you about to start or are doing the liquid diet luck and the best with your surgery.
  12. I was just given my surgery date...November 12th. I wasn't sure if I wanted to scream with delight or cry with fear. All kinds of emotion now that a date has been givin...seems "real" now!
  13. I have been on 1300 calorie diet for a couple months now...I met with my nutritionist on Tuesday and she went over what I will have to do when I am given the go ahead on the 2 week liquid diet (only waiting for 30 days on the cpap machine before I can get scheduled for surgery). I am only going to be allowed 600-1000 calories per day...protein shakes, sf pudding and Jello, sf popsicles (can have fruit chucks in them prior to surgery but not after), certain Soups and broth is what will be on menu. I am really worried about the liquid diet phase - praying for the will power to make it through it. I have four boys aged 2, 9, 12 and 14...growing boys they are, eating everything and anything in site. I want to wish you all good luck and keep up the good work!
  14. I do not have a surgery date yet but have been told it would take 3 - 6 months before surgery will be scheduled. I have been scheduled for all my required specialist appointments which should all be completed by Sept 5th. I have attended the required seminar and have had my initial appointment.
