  1. Hi Alan and welcome to LBT! Congratulations on your band. Glad you are doing well! How is your weight loss coming?
  2. I think this was probably late 70's, but does anyone remember BJ and the Bear? I loved Greg Evigan! :w00t: I think he was my first crush. :w00t:
  3. What is this? Knight Rider meets Baywatch??? :puke::w00t:
  4. I would definitely have a serious diccussion about this with my PCP and possibly a specialist before even considering ANY non-essential procedure.
  5. Congratulations on your re-birthday! Hope everything went well today. Post and let us know how you are feeling as soon as you feel up to it!
  6. I am so excited for you!!! You are going to do great with the band! Good luck!
  7. If you have to be referred to your Lap Band doctor by your PCP, call you LB doc and ask if he can recommend a PCP who is band friendly. Most do have a list of doctors they work with to help make things easier for their patients. Good luck!
  8. Hi all! I live in SC too! I am going to the Weight Management Center through Palmetto Health Baptist. I also considered Lexington, but went with Baptist for a number of different reasons, but nothing to do with the center or surgeons specifically. Just personal preference. Hope everyone is doing well on their journeys! Good luck to all of you and keep us posted on your progress!
  9. Hi and welcome to LBT! Congratulations on your surgery date. I think nerves are a natural part of any surgery. Hopefully the excitement will overtake the nervousness as it gets closer to your date! Good luck and keep us posted on yuor progress!
  10. Hi, Jason and welcome to LBT! Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

  14. I Jennifer and welcome to LBT! Sounds like you are doing pretty good overall. Hope the pain will ease up soon and make it easier for you to sleep. The only suggestion I can give is the same as someone else - PILLOWS!! Good luck to you and keep us posted on your progress.
  15. Hi Wheezie! Glad you are doing well and hope you continue to feel ok. sleep while you can because once you have that new body, who will want to take the time to? Glld luck and keep us posted on your progress!
  16. My hubby loves Queensryche. Makes me listen anytime he has me trapped in the car. He is definitely a metal head from way back and I didn't get too much into that until the late '80's. I'll take my OMD, Hooters, etc. anyday over most of what he listens to. Not ever a fan of NKOTB though. I think they came out a little late for me. I graduated in '88.
  17. I have Sirius, so don't have CD's in the car. Listen to the '80's station and Hair Nation all the time though! :tt2: Have a good variety on my MP3 player too. Rick Springfield, Hooters, Big Country, A-Ha, Duran Duran, VH, Motley Crue, GnR, Poison, and the list goes on and on.:wink2:
  18. Good luck today! Post and let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to it!
  19. All of my friends were Duranies, but there weren't enough members for all of us to have our own without doubling up and of course 2 of us couldn't like the same member!! Oh the horrors!!! So I liked Rick Springfield. All of the walls in my bedroom were covered. His was my first concert too! My husband thinks I am a total dork because he was a metal head from the 70's on. He is almost 5 years older than me.
  20. Thanks for all the info, Massa. I hope my doctor will give me one of those books before I have to make my final decision!
  21. I'm staying on plan today because I haven't done very well the past couple of days and I am afraid the scale is going to move the wrong way when I weight in tomorrow.:huh2:
  22. Ok, so I thought I was doing pretty well picking and choosing who I shared my upcoming surgery with. Then I found out that my mother has made it the hot topic of conversation not only with various extended family members but also her entire Sunday School class!! So much for my choice of privacy!
  23. I have to say, I somehow managed to avoid ever owning a pair of parachute pants, thank goodness!!! I do, however, have a few great blackmail pictures of my chubby little brother striking a pose in his during his break dance days. :grouphug:
