    Give it to me straight.

Many people say the younger you are the quicker you bounce back and now I'm starting to think that's true after reading all these. I'm 19 and was sleeve 7/11....I was sore the first couple days but after that I was fine. I are soft foods even tho I should of waited longer and went to worth the 28th where I would sometimes even lift people.
  3. 19 and had mine on July 11th. Lost 40lbs so far

    Tampa/st pete sleevers

I'm from tampa and work in Sarasota.I was sleeved on July 11th in Mexico! Everything went well and still is. Already down 40lbs!
  5. I'm 6 weeks post op and lost about 35lbs all together but 25lbs were from the 2 week pre op diet...I'm pretty frustrated but I think I wasn't shedding the weight off because I was not following the post op diet. This doesn't mean I was eating bad stuff but I did start soft foods about a week after. I stayed away from carbs and focused of protein and I drank as much water as I could but working 8 hours a day at my job is impossible to consume the amount of water I SHOULD have a day. I want to know of anyone else has done this and maybe some advice. I was very careful with eating but I know I took a chance on creating a leak, I don't recommend it for ppl but I'm not a fan of soups so they got sickening fast and I couldn't drink protein shakes til about 3 weeks after. It was to thick it would just come back up.
  6. Just got my sleeve last Friday. I have been having killier back pain in my lower back and when I sleep on my right side I get extreme cramps/pains on my left side by my gallbladder right by my rib cage. When I sleep on my back and inhale I feel like my stomach is caving in and I loosed my breath followed with cramping as well. Is this normal? Has anyone else had these problems post op? I know it will probably get better and go away eventually but I am concerned because I got my surgery done in Mexico and I have no health insurance at this moment and not even sure if doctor will see or treat me here in the U.S.
  7. "Lean body" at Walmart and premier protein at sams club. Tastes good and have the highest protein and lowest sugar. Make sure you read the labels before u buy. You want at least 20g protein or higher and 3 or less grams of sugar. Don't worry about the rest and as for the price unfortunately there ALL expensive! But lean body is the cheapest for the amount of fluid ounces you get.
  8. She's the ungrateful and self centered one. If she can't make a small change in her diet to see her daughter make a life change to better her health than she's not doin what a mother should do. I'm only 19 and I just got a sleeve 3 days ago. Me and my mother did it together but she's lives in PA and I'm in FL. It's not like ur asking anyone to do the diet with you. Anyways my post op diet I just drank protein shake for breakfast and lunch, I had yogurt and jello for in between if I was hungry of course sugar free. U can also get sugar Popsicles to if u want. But for dinner I had a small piece of meat NO breaking. I had no complication with my liver being to large I even drank a little bit of alcohol a few days prior. Just make sure it's no calories and u drink a lot of protein shakes. Diet soda will be ur best friend too in between the shakes because that's like the last time you will be able to handle carbonated drinks.
  9. Me and my mom got the sleeve on July 11th. Were in cancun and were starving!!! Has any cheated and ate whole foods. We were thinking possibly watermelon and some soft meat? I know every doctors post op diet is different and everyone has a different reaction. Can anyone help?
  10. It's just tempting cuz eveyone is barbaqueing at the hotel and the smells are killing us it's not so much of our appetite. But Thankyou for the advice were just gonna fight the temptations and stick with the Gatorade and broth.
