I don't know if I have lost any since surgery. I am feeling great tho. No problem getting liquids in or anything. I want to move to full liquids but can't till my appt on thurs.

I'm feeling good. Trying to keep up on my liquids. And taking pain meds about every 4hrs. Gas pain is not bad at all. Just have to drink slow. I can feel it going down and if I take too big of a gulp I have to burp and it hurts a bit. It's easier than I thought it would be tho!

You take it at noon the day before. By the morn you are fine. And my surgery was not until 2 pm. Could not drink after midnight the night b4.

It clears out your system. So there will be nothing in your stomach when they do surgery.

Feeling good. Not too much gas pain. Just upper stomach pain and the meds have been controlling that.

Congrats. It will b here before u know it. I'm just about to leave the hospital. All went well!

Ah that's cute!! I sent him the link to buy it as a hint I wanted it. I saw the charge through our bank account, so I know I am getting it.

I just don't think it has hit me yet! I am so excited. Took my magnesium citrate drink and have to pack my bag. I'm more excited rather than nervous. Anyone around theme same time? Nervous? Excited? Anything special to bring to hospital besides Chapstick?

I was just at a conference for 4 days and I did cheat a few times but made good decisions on fish and chicken. I am now back in the swing of things. 3 more days to go.

I am not. I have a shake for breakfast and lunch. Then a lean protein with green veggies for dinner. I can have 1/2 cup cottage cheese, applesauce or oatmeal twice a day too. And a shake for snack after dinner if needed.

I'm from buffalo. Will be sleeved on OCT 15th. Just started my pre op diet and feeling wonderful! Good luck to everyone and their journey!

I feel great too. I am on day 3 and it is easier than I thought. I think though if there was not the promise of surgery I could not stick with this longer than 2 weeks!

I am having my surgery one day after u on the 15th. I got a nasty cold this week. It was in a way a little bit of a blessing starting the liver red diet. Cause i was stuffy and so miserable with the cold the diet has not been bad at all. Had all my pre surgery testing done yesterday and they said if the cold turns worse to tell the surgeon. I know I am getting better not run down as much as the last 2 days. I hope you can avoid the cold it would not be fun to be recovering from surgery and be sick in the meantime. Well I guess having this cold is not too bad. Could not taste any of my shakes today. Had some broth and lots of water. I think this will be gone before my surgery.

Tomorrow starts my pre-op diet and my daughter gave me her cold. Today was the first day of the cola and my throat is on fire, nose running and loosing my voice. I guess I will just take my shakes and sip on broth all day! Took some Tylenol cold. Hope this goes away soon! Glad I got it now rather than later. How does it feel when you sneeze after surgery. I'm worried about that?

Has anyone with Independent Health get approved for Insure Nutrition? Also how long does it normally take to hear back from them?

Well that was fast. Only took 2 days to approve and I have a surgery date of oct 15th!!!

I got a surgery date already! October 15th my new life starts! Took ins 2 days to approve. The dr office would have scheduled it for sept 24th but I have a conf early Oct I have to work. I am just in shock and so excited!!!!!

So I am new here. Have been lurking for a while. I finished all my pre-op appointments and just have a follow up with my NUT. They submitted my paper work to ins this week and ins got it yesterday! So I play the waiting game. This is gonna be tough!
