Flowerpurr- Common sense would say "Yes" especially since I'm assuming your weight history will show a continual increase each year. But you never know when dealing with insurance companites!
Hello Kkay...I know it's been several months since you started this topic, but...have you had surgery? I have met Dr. Machado at the informational seminar and have an appointment with her on Nov. 6, 2007 for the surgery consult. She seemed really nice at the seminar. So we'll see....
I'm in the process of being banded, but here are my "Here's Your Sign" award experiences:
1. I had several adults say..."Wait until after the holiday's to be banded!" - Okaaay...let's gain another 20 lbs so that I can lose weight when it's convenient??? STUPID!
2. My son (18 yrs old) asked me "Why are you having the surgery?"...and I was like...."Maybe being 150 lbs overweight AND on 7 different medications have made my decision for me..." I think my son is so used to me being overweight and doesnt' realize all the health and psychological issues involved. Love him though!
Can't wait for my Nov 6th consult! Insurance has already approved surgery....so wish me luck!
I love the ellipticals! I've increased from a level of 3-4 to level 12-14...boy is it a workout! And doesn't hurt my joints. Then I'll do the circuit at Workout Express
Jachut...I loved the bison reference! You had me rolling in agony from laughing so hard.
I know what you all are saying...I'm not banded, yet, but I already notice how much more I eat than what my body needs. But try not to judge too harshly others who haven't been lucky enough to be banded. I'm hoping that the band will help me change my focus towards food.
