  1. Thank you guys for all your input! This is so helpful and reassuring! One day at a time
  2. I am five weeks post op and am struggling to get in my protein because even small amounts of chicken, ground turkey, or lean lunch meat makes me puke. I'm chewing good and eating slowly but I can only tolerate beans and cottage cheese...very frustrating. I was living protein shakes but now they are gross to me too. This is a daily struggle
  3. I did! Try vitamin water zero... That seemed to help a lot
  4. Yay!!!! I wish you both great success now that you can focus on recovery and meeting goals
  5. During pre op diet (5 days) I lost ten pounds, from surgery to first week I lost 14, and second week I lost one pound... I'm three weeks out today and lost right more. It's weird because I stay the same for several days and then drop a lot in one day. I'm just focusing on getting in my water and protein and moving as much as possible. I'm only allowed to walk and it's been way too hot to walk outside so in just trying to keep busy inside. Sounds like you are doing fantastic! I didn't feel half as good for the first week! Welcome to the losers bench

  13. Oh my goodness I know your pain. I'm taking two stool softeners a day and added fiber to all my drinks. My dr said any longer than three days is considered extreme contstipation and to use a suppository or enema if needed. Also, if use a suppository you should lie on your left side after placing it because it allows for easier movement until u finally can go....otherwise make sure you are drinking a lot of water. Good luck

  15. My surgery was July 14 and I've lost 15lbs post op and 10 pounds pre op...so 25 all together yet I still can't wear my clothes that button and zip... I'm stuck wearing yoga pants and jammie pants. How long until I can wear real clothes?! Lol

  17. My dr instructed me to cover the incisions w gauze and keep them dry. Small amounts if blood was not a concern. I'm still hurting but it's getting better every day
