  1. Hi, I haven't posted much, but I read a lot. I'm a school bus driver, with a close-knit family of co-workers, like you. I had a co-worker who had surgery over last mid-winter break. She didn't tell anyone but her best friend. Rumors started flying, and being a fellow overweight person, I asked her about it. She had gastric bypass. I was so happy to see her progress and great recovery, that it really helped me to make my decision. Unlike my co-worker, I decided to share my decision with the world. I tell anyone and everyone what I've done. At work, I get all the support one could want. Outside of work, I just hope I can be a positive influence in someone else's life, giving them the courage to be banded. Anyway, its your decision, best wishes either way. 2. I just read about your group meeting and would be very interested in attending. I was banded June 20, 2005. Please send me info on your next meeting. Thank you, Deanna
  3. Hi, I'm Deanna, aka noodlenoggin. I was banded June 20, 2005 in Tijuana, Mexico. I am very pleased with the surgery and post surgery results. I weighed 283 with a BMI of 51 at surgery. Today, June 27, I weigh 271.5. I am thrilled! The surgery seems to be just the thing for me. I'm still on the liquid diet and quickly becoming bored with it. But I can last a few more days!
