  1. Thanks everyone for your replies. They made me laugh and I feel much better now!
  2. Thanks Laura, I am from the UK.
  3. You need to talk to your doctor about this, it would be unwise to act on advice from a forum on such a vital decision. Good Luck!
  4. You could have a ruptured muscle, you should see your doctor. Any unexplained or spontaneous bruising should be investigated.
  5. What are you most looking forward to when you are slim? For me it will be wearing lacy bra and knickers that match for once. Oh, and boots that fit round my calves.
  6. Thanks WASaBubbleButt, that's reassuring. I feel like I'm going mad, but I am so glad to have my band, although I don't have much restriction yet (unfilled in surgery). I've calmed down a bit now and realised that losing a chocolate mousse is not the end of the world!
  7. Hi All, I am 4 days post surgery and have started on sloppy foods such as soups and mousse/custard etc. On my way home from hospital I stocked up on everything I'd need. There were 11 low fat chocolate mousses in the fridge and today I planned some soup and one mousse for my lunch. When I opened the fridge there were none left (thanks mainly to my 13 year old daughter). Well I completely freaked out, burst into tears and accused her and my family of not caring about me and not supporting me. Is this emotional outburst normal, was it justified, or did I totally over-react about a stupid pudding? Still feel upset about it now
  8. It lies over the stomach and so is vulnerable to bleeding during surgery.
  9. I've heard other people say that you can have a last meal the night before surgery because it would by then be too late to undo the benefit to the liver of the pre-op diet. Has anyone done this and did it hurt?
