Need Help Deciding to Go to Mexico

Check out Dr. Zavalza and his partner Dr. Luna. You will be in the best hands possible. I am so very happy with my decision to use them. The care pre & post has been fantastic!
  3. I had my surgery at Florence Hospital on May 13, 2015 with Dr. Zavalza and Dr. Luna. Let me start by saying, I could not be happier with the results. I was pain-free, had very little gas discomfort, no vomiting, and was up and moving pretty quickly; I was very fortunate as I handled the surgery very well or as Dr. Luna said, "I rocked it!" The staff at the hospital was top notch. Everyone was caring, compassionate, and very happy. I could not have asked for better people to be taking care of me. The hospital was dated, but very clean. The rooms are set up to accommodate family members (I have never observed this in a US hospital). I would describe Dr. Zavalza as an amazing surgeon who genuinely cared for my well-being. He and I talked pre-op and post-op and he spent quite a bit of time with me. His attitude is one of caring and compassion. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Zavalza to anyone!!! Dr. Luna is a very knowledgeable nutritionist who also spent a lot of time talking with me. He went over the post-op diet with me at length making sure I asked all the questions I needed and fully understood everything I needed to do. He also took part in the surgery and my post-op care. He is a very caring doctor with a great personality. I would also HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Luna to anyone!!! My transportation to and from the airport, hospital, and hotel was taken care of by Roberto M. and Roberto R. of Bariatric Pal (2 of the 3 Roberto's on staff!). They are funny and full of conversation and perfect gentlemen. I'm glad I went to Mexico to have my surgery and I would do it again 100 times over; I wouldn't change a thing. I am also glad I took part in the Bariatric Pal surgery package; it made everything so much easier. I stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel and let me tell you . . . it is awesome!!!! Best digs I have ever stayed in! I also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Alex Brecher. He is very personable and easy to talk to.
