Excellent Shelbi! I was worried about that - after the other day! Pew!!! j/k! I'd sit next to you anyday and if you can't keep your hands to yourself, I'll just deal with it! In Kindergarten, my teacher told my Mom that I thought I was everyone's Mother. We had this little girl from Mexico in class and the kids were horrible to her. They would spit on her desk or put thumb tacs on her chair and wait for her to sit down and then laugh! She spent a lot of time crying. The teacher was clueless! I felt so sad for her! She didn't speak english, so I became her protector! The teacher - for some reason - didn't appreciate that! She felt the little girl should have learned to protect herself and that it wasn't my business. My Mom who has always been "the protector" told that teacher what she thought and I walked out of that Parent/Teacher Conference with my head held high! Mom's! Hi Shelbi! Do you remember that commercial with Alice Cooper and his daughter? They were at Staples buying school supplies, I think and she said, "I thought you said, school was out forever?" She was really angry! I listen to every type of music. Lately, I've been listening to Bryan Adams, Matchbox 20, Savage Garden, Fergie, and Casting Crowns. This morning it was Bryan Adams -- "summer of 69" -- "everything I do, I do it for you" Fergie is pretty good! AND she spells a lot for us in her songs! So I think it's like a spelling lesson too!!! I wish I looked like her... I'd have to spell too!

Hi Green-Sister! Certainly do your measurements this weekend. It has really helped me know that I have lost inches even if the scale hasn't moved for me. I'm glad you're reading my blog. I hope Michelle's silence means things are really wonderful and she's just falling madly in love -- more and more with each passing day! AND I hope that Mal is doing okay! Sounds like you're doing great! I bet that was a battle to lose those 10lbs that you had gained! My weight is a mess. It literally goes up and down. I finally decided to only weigh on Tuesdays and post my weight on my Excel Spreadsheet. I wish I had a nice break during the summer! I'm really struggling with what I should do with my life. I love being a nurse and I have given it my 100%. I have had the goal of going to Physician Assistant's school for about 4 years. I worked on getting all of my pre-req's and finally applied to several. I got accepted to one for the fall, but the timing is all off right now, I didn't think I would be accepted, so I made other life changes. I think I'll delay my start date so I can get other things in order. I'd love to see you at Red Robin's. Do you think you could join us next week? Shelbi, I guess my shorts are not the biker shorts, but rather the spandex workout shorts. They are really thin material. I used to swim at a pool in ABQ and I swam with a lot of elderly women. Women in their 80's and 90's. They were beautiful! They always wore the full body wet suit looking outfits. That's when I got the idea of wearing the longer shorts and sports bras. I wonder if I could get one of those shirts for someone my size. I'd love to be able to cover up my arms. The kids at the pool always stare at them! Well Guys, I hope your day is good. I'm going to the movies with a friend of mine to see Baby Mama. If John T. reads this he'll laugh because he and I already saw this movie together BUT a friend of mine begged me to go and see it with her. I loved it, so I don't mind. Hi Shelbi! Yup, my girls have started heading south for the Winter, Summer, Fall and Spring! I don't think they will be returning anytime soon! Sad, but true! I got a new Sports Bra at Kohls and if this one doesn't work, I'm going to get one at Bosom Buddies. It's a Breastfeeding support store near Park Meadows Mall and they have a very wide assortment of sizes. Don't laugh, but I wear my Sports Bra and workout shorts to the pool. There is no way I am willing to put on a swimsuit! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! NO WAY! I just buy those thin cycling shorts, they are longer and cover more of my thigh. Life goes on....

I was in the office this afternoon, but I didn't get a fill. I still have pretty good restriction from my last fill AND I've lost 17 lbs in the last month. It was so nice to see Natalie, Marilyn, Mary and the Good Doctor K! When I got there, they had me fill out this information sheet about my eating. I loved being able to write on there that I work out 30 mins a day, 7 days a week! The first time in my life, I was able to write that!!! I'd call that a huge NSV!

Lapdancer, I was reading a woman's website today -- it was all about her plastic surgery after losing a large amount of weight with the lap band. She had everything, even a Brazilian Butt Lift. I will need one of those! Just like Dolly Parton says, "everything that can be lifted, tucked, and sucked will be." I need her plastics doc... she still looks great! I sure don't want the one who did Farah Fawcet! Yikes!:wink2: Love, dee~

LA! If I were you, I'd measure myself now. I don't think it's a lost cause at all! I think it's a great idea! I am now wearing 26-28's. My pre-op size was 32. My scrubs have gone from 6xl to 3xl. I haven't had the guts to try on my old jeans. I tried them on right after surgery and they didn't fit, but they fit before surgery! I know I was swollen! I should just try them on. Go Measure that Bod, LA! BTW, my daughter saw your pictures and she said you have changed a lot! She said you are so pretty! She liked your before picture too!

LA, I can see it -- It is very apparent to me! You are much much smaller now. Look at your arms and shoulders, not to mention your face. Wow! I would be so proud if I were you! You're so pretty! Did you measure yourself pre-op? I did, I have my measurements on my website. It really is amazing how much we don't notice, if we can't see the numbers. I have not dropped a lot of sizes, but I think that is because I started out so big. Thanks for sharing your pictures! I love seeing the "Before and During" pictures! They are so inspirational! dee~

Amie! That's great! BTW, I love the way your Mom spelled your name! I love names with an "ie" - I think it's so feminine. I think going to see Paula is a great idea. I have worked really hard on trying to get my diet in order. I do not want to "diet" per se, I want to live this way. Before being banded it was my goal to eat a balanced and healthy way, but I was always hungry and I'd end up eating too much. I have found that with the band, it is much easier to eat healthy. Because the band lends it's help to keep me from being so hungry between meals. I love planning my meals and putting them together. Counting the grams of protein and logging them in the computer. I'm a nerd! Are you going to stay for a couple of days while you're here Amie? You must be doing something right, Girl! Look at how much you're lost! Congrats!!!

Oh I know what you man about being UBER BIG! Today, I was talking to someone and I thougt, "Wow, I still have about 166 lbs to go!" -- We were talking about sex! One of my favorite topics! Anyway, 166 lbs and major plastics before any man would be attracted to me! ARGH! No wonder I get so depressed sometimes! DAMNIT! (positive attitude Dee, positive attitude!) I'm trying! dee~

Thanks LapDancer!!! I hate my "Low Flow Shower Head" Hair! My daughter and I laughed when I posted the picture because she said, "You look like Jerry Seinfeld from the Low Flow Shower episode." Yup, I do! And Yes, I am a lot happier! Happier to have found the band! Thanks for our support and encouragement! How are you doing with your new fill? I'm supposed to get one tomorrow, but I averaged a loss of 2.33 a week since my last fill, so I'm not sure if I'll get one.

Shelbi, Thanks! I don't see the difference... but thank you. I know it will happen. I still have over 200 lbs to go -- so it's a long way off. Can you imagine what I'll look like then? Nurse, I know that is what is recommended by some other doctors. Dr. K doesn't recommend liquids for a few days after your fill. Give Natalie a call and she can let you know what his recommendations are. Your question is very valid! AND somthing that needs to be clarified. Thank you for posting it. Maybe there are others who can address it better than me, since I've only had 1 fill. dee~
