I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2014 and was pretty successful in that I lost about 60 pounds. I never got down to my goal weight, but the weight I did lose gave me a good boost to my self confidence. However, life happened, and I slowly started gaining some of the weight back. After consulting with my family, we decided that my health and well-being were worth doing a sleeve-to-bypass conversion. I am looking to have that procedure within the next month so that I can begin the next leg of this journey. As everyone knows, this is not the end-all, be-all; it's a very long, sometimes frustrating, always-there journey that is different for everyone.
