  8. Walking, resistance bands and I'm trying not to lose to fast. Slower weight loss and your body has a bit more time to readjust itself.

  12. When I put on last years sweater and the sleeves are now way to long. Baffled me for a bit. My arms didn't get shorter, but my shoulders have lost quite a bit. I wasn't expecting that so I tried on a couple more jackets. Same phenomenon. . The Good Will store is getting some very nice donations.

  15. I had my sleeve done on Tuesday. I lost 20 lbs. on the two week diet, before hand. Recovery isn't too bad. I only had nausea when they gave me the disgusting stuff to drink to check for leaks. I came home the next day. They had an onQ hooked up in my belly for pain. That was a new one on me. It helped the pain quite a bit for the incisions. I took it out last night and the pain is very tolerable. My big kicker is that they gave me nausea meds, that give you a headache and pain meds that you have to take with food and make you nauseous. duhhh. Needless to say no pain meds or nausea medication. I have had a whopping headache for the past 3 days. But I crushed up some Tylenol with water and that has helped. So My stats so far are SW 277. Surgery weight 257 this morning 253. I was expecting it to be higher due to the swelling. So I am pleased. I'm hanging on to this bull and riding it for all it's worth.

  18. I'm scheduled for the 2nd as well, and start liquids the 19th too. Good luck to the both of us.

  20. I'm scheduled for September 2. I'm ok with this whole thing. The surgery part doesn't bother me as I've had several surgeries on my abdomen. I turn 50 on the 11th of September. I deal with high cholesterol, high blood pressure. But the kicker for me is the newest diagnosis diabetes. 50 is gonna be my new 25. I just lost my father to heart disease due to his obesity last month. He was only 69. I'm not going to put myself or my family in that position. Time to be proactive.

  23. No, I haven't gone to any of the support groups yet. I'm going to the office in stafford. I've got a pre-op with dr. Halmi on Friday. This sight has given me a lot of inspiration and knowledge. It helps that I have a lot of support at home as well.
  24. I am scheduled for the sleeve, with Dr. Halmi on the 2nd of September. I'm nervous and excited,at the same time. I feel like I am in very good hands with Bluepoint.
  25.    Nadine82 reacted to a post in a topic: Kudos for Bluepoint!
  26. I just found out yesterday that I was approved. I'm September 2nd. As well. I can't wait to just feel better. Good luck.
