I was time I couldn't get the sleeve bc of gerd bc it makes it worse. I have it pretty severely and I'm 10 months out from g RNY and haven't had it since

So I'm 9 months out down 126 still have about 70 to go to get to my goal. I am 32 and have one filling in my mouth. It fell out and I need a root canal and have 4 cavities surrounding it. Thats only one section my of mouth not the whole thing. They will look at the rest later. I feel that I'm having these issues BC of surgery. My teeth were fine a year ago. What can I do to prevent future problems? Thanks!

I had an IUD and after surgery is stopped working so I just decided to take it out. That was six months ago. I'm just now getting back to normal periods but still get cramping and hormonal. My body had to work itself out.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I got really dizzy and nauseous when I got home. They put my nausea medicine and it took quite a while for that to stop. I think my body was reacting from having surgery. I still had vertigo at that point but I think it was more BC of low caloric intake and not enough water. I found that when I drank more I did not get dizzy. Hope that helps! If you have any questions just ask!

Ok here goes. I need to get back on track. Really slowed down since Christmas. Currently at 227 this morning. I weigh myself daily! Gulp!

I had mild pain. But believe it or not when I got home I slept on my stomach like normal with a drain in. I'm single but I couldn't sleep any other way

Stacyann81 my surgery is also Monday at 7:30. I have to be there at 5:30 which means I have to leave my house at 4AM. Probably wont sleep anyway, Did all of my pre-op yesterday and I am ready to go!

I was telling people because I need support. Now that I have found this group that will be less. I have been so excited that I did tell the team at school that I work with and talked to another teacher who had it done. I also told people at my church so that they can pray for me. I did tell my mom and she is actually coming to take care of me for a week so thats great since we are not very close. She then told my brother and all my nieces and nephews and grandma and aunts and uncles. Didnt like all of that. I think she told them bc she is going to be out of town. Oh and my dad told at least someone bc he told me about someone who had it done. Not too happy with that part but the people that I have told have only been supportive, at least to me to my face. I have no one else to tell thats close to me and I will post pics of my weight loss but not shout it from the rooftops if that makes sense. I am glad people are supporting me and that helps even though it wouldnt change my decision. My principal even told me good luck as well!

Everyone has been posting about doing shakes pre op. I called my surgeon to double check and all they require is that you lose 5-10 pounds. I have lost 10 and my surgery is on Monday so I'm hoping to lose a couple of more. I am thinking since I have all my protein powder I'll just do shakes the last couple of days to be on the safe side. They said I can but its not required since I've lost 10 pounds my liver will have shrunk enough.

my pre op is on thursday and my surgery is monday! time is coming up! Did they make you do any pre shakes or anything? my surgeon didnt say anything about it but on here they do?

Hi there everyone! I am new to this site and I am excited to find it as well! I am having surgery on Monday, June 2!!! Just need to mentally prepare. After reading all of these posts, my surgeon didnt tell me anything about a liquid diet beforehand............................just that I had to lose 5-10 pounds.
