  20. @@Babbs I think you're doing great! you didn't start nearly as heavy as me and you've lost quite a bit, with only 25 to go to your goal. Good job!

  22. Just checking in - Sleeved 8/19/14 Age: 50 HW: 347 SW: 317 CW: 246 Following the plan. Kinda slow going for me lately... I've lost only 10 pounds in the last 8 weeks!! But my clothes are getting so loose again. I guess I must be kinda solid for an old lady... I'm fitting into 12/14 pants and Medium/Large tops. Much better than the 24/26's I started in I pray everyone is having good results and getting healthier!

  24. Hi August Sleevers! Sleeved 8/19/14 Age: 50 HW: 347 SW: 317 CW: 256 Following the plan. Slower than some, but I'm okay with that as long as I'm still losing. So far, no skin issues
  25.    taweedeegirl reacted to a post in a topic: Medi Cal requirements?
  26. I had the gastric sleeve done in August with Medi-cal as my secondary insurance... and yes, they paid. They would have paid for it as a primary insurance too had I not had another primary. The best way to find out your requirements is to call a surgeon and ask their insurance person. You could also call the insurance directly and they can send you the requirements. They do it all the time and should be happy to help you. best of luck
  27.    JadeyLady reacted to a post in a topic: Medi Cal requirements?
  28. It depends on which Medi-Cal you have. the straight medi-cal or one of their HMOs. Best way to find out is to call the surgeon you want to use and the office insurance person can help you figure it out.
  29. Can someone please tell me if the unjury chicken Soup is a "clear liquid"? I have surgery in 2 weeks and I'm trying to get stuff ordered online. Thanks. Violet
  30. Here is the psychologist I used. She is very WLS friendly and informed... plus she understands that stress, depression, anxiety can be a part of being obese. I was nervous because I have some history with these issues, but I passed just fine. She sees people online and/or in her office in Bakersfield and she is licensed for the state (maybe more??) The cost is around $250 for the completed pysch clearance. She has you take some tests and talks to you, it takes about 90 mins and my report was done and to my surgeon within a week. So if anyone needs a psych clearance and wants someone who understands, then she might be an option. http://www.drlauriekoenigonlinepsychologist.com/index.html
