  1. Thanks so much for your responses. I’m scheduled to have the lapband removed January 11th. So glad hopefully it will stop complications I had with it. I’m going through the process have met with the nutritionist twice and have 1 with surgeon. He did tell me he would wait 2 months after the removal before doing the other surgery. Looks like I won’t have mine until June.
  2. Thank so much for replying, I don’t know why he just said he doesn’t and want to remove it 2 months prior. My appointment went good today just some uncertainty with insurance. I got my lap band under United health care and now I have bcbs.
  3. Today I had my first session for 6 month documentation for sleeve. The doctor office was unclear really how blue cross would treat the process. My lap and was done under my old insurance but the sleeve would be under blue cross. They have a one lifetime approval. I talked to them they stated it should be approved. I hope so as I press on.
  4. Hi Everyone I was banded in 2009 I started having serious stomach problems, Severe GERD and gaining weight back. My doctor removed all fluid out of my band. I’m looking to get a revision to the sleeve. I start my nutrition appointments tomorrow and have a pyshch evaluation next Monday. They plan to remove the band in January hoping to move through the six months and become sleeved. Excited to begin this journey.
  5. Curious what signs do some of u get when u are full with the band
  6. I originally had the cat scan that's how he saw the pouch was dialated
  7. I had a Gi done a three weeks after he U filled me. It came back normal. Was happy because he thought my pouch was dialated rather large and thought I might have to do revision but it healed back fine
  8. B52 I think u are doing the right thing. After this experience I have considered doing it more often. I need to improve on listening to my body also. I'm focusing on making sure I don't overeat and stay away from slider foods. I'm thankful that I only gained 4lbs through this process from continuing to eat right and work out with my trainer. I'm confident with my renewed commitment I will continue down a successful journey. On another note I have noticed since the refill I have had terribly
  9. Today my band was filled again after taking all the fluid out because of a dialated esophagus. All testing came back good so Doctor put back 4 in today.
  10. Hi I've been banded for 3 years I had the flu 6 weeks ago symptoms went away after 2 days but stomach pain continued went to emergency they did cat scan and it showed dialated esophagus. I through up quite a bit with the flu so was worried about the band. When he removed the fluid I didn't feel any different besides of course my intake is more I felt that immediately
  11. Thanks I will definetly focus on chewing more. I take a Gi on the 29tth to see if it goes down. On the 4th of Feburary I go back to my surgeon to consider next steps if it is down he said he would consider starting a slow refill or the band will have to be removed and consider a revision
  12. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I'm going to remain prayerful
  13. Today I had to have all my fluid removed due to a dialated esophagus. I literally broke down in tears devestated.
  14. Thanks so much I appreciate it. It make sense. I'm just getting back to the basics and was confused.
  15. If we are supposed to be able to eat 4 ounces at a setting can u give me and example of how some of your meals look. How can I eat anything else if the protein us about that in ounces. Trying to figure my vegetables and other items in
  16. Well I'm on day 5 of the 5 day pouch test. I'm really surprised at how much I feel my restriction. I'm not hungry and feel like I have regained my focus. I have scheduled an appointment to get a fill but it's not until September 3rd. So I'm going to help the band do what it's intended to do with me staying focus. Thanks for responding it feels good to have support.
  17. Hi I'm looking for a buddy I realize I need help
  18. My band was working great at 5cc and I actually was 20 away from my goal. I just lost focus and my eating habits went bad. I need to focus and contribute to what the band was helping me do. I'm going to try the 5 pouch test and get back focus then go to my doctor if it needs tighten
  19. Thanks so much going to try it
  20. I gained the 15 recently my band was at a perfect fill and I hadn't been back recently for a fill. I know the problem I'm not following my plan at all. I was thinking of doing the 5 day pick test to get back on track. My eating habits is honestly what's wrong.
