  2. I am now nearly 5 weeks out. Have always used wine in gravy so continued this in puréed foods 2 weeks out with no ill effects. Waited until 4 weeks out to try a glass of red. ( well half glass). It did go to my head quite quickly but all was ok. Everything in moderation is my moto
  3. 4 weeks out There was fresh rolls in the house from the local bakery. Couldn't resist just a thin piece with a bit of butter. Made sure it was well chewed It sat a bit heavy for a few minutes but is fine now.

  5. My exercise started post op day one. Was told to walk a lap of the hospital (220yds) at least 5 times a day. Walk at a pace that makes you slightly breathless for as long as you can do it. I am now nearly 4 weeks out and walking everyday for about 30 mins
  6. TaylorR Walk as far as you feel you can. I was told by my surgeon at least 200 yards 5 times a day ( started on day after op. You need to build it until you are doing 30 minutes at a pace that makes you slightly breathless at least 3 times a week. I am currently doing that 3 weeks post op. My weight is also coming down at about 0.3- 0.5 lb a day
  7. I am now 3 weeks out. I urge you to walk every day, drink plenty of water and you will feel better. I am really liking what is happening to my body. Losing about 0.5lb minimum a day and feeling fitter every day. Hang in there it does get better
  8. Three weeks out and seem to be tolerating most food ok as long as it is puréed. Lack of planning yesterday and had to eat out. Nando's medium chicken ( 2-3 ounces) really finely chopped, mash ( lots of Piri Piri ) with macho peas ( mashed) Was well pleased I managed it till this morning when I think I might just have overdone the Piri Piri sauce. But we all live and learn
  9. Know what you mean about the wait. I came off Tier 3 in Jan, didn't get to see surgeon until 1 Apr and was told op would be 12 June. Badgered them for an earlier date and got my op on 15 May. I am now 10 days into liquid phase, have lost 14 lb and a total of 30lb since 1st May when I started the pre op diet. I had mind done in Spire at Southampton
