  2. Thank you so much for sharing!! Looks like I need to eat more and to start eating less liquid food and more proper food. Really appreciate your help:)
  3. Thank you for replying- was getting worried as it should be going down not up! I guess I should be drinking more water and trying to get more protein in too! Really appreciate the help and responses- thanks again
  4. Thank you! Will certainly have a look! I just don't know if I am eating too much or too little! My typical day is Protein shake Cottage cheese @ 10 Protein shake for lunch String cheese @ 3 Greek yogurt for dinner.
  5. Hi! Am 7 weeks post surgery and struggling with food- I tend to stick with the same 5 foods and eat that everyday. Would anyone mind letting me what their typical day of food is like please? Would love some more ideas! Thank you in advance
  6. Hi, I have been at the gym 3 times this week and have gained 3lbs. Am a bit confused as am not eating more than 600-700 calories a day, at least 50g protein and trying to get around 40 ounces of water in a day too. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal? I am 7 weeks post surgery and have lost 35lbs so far. Please help!

  17. Hi all:) wow! what a difference a few days make. Am still not able to drink too much but am certainly feeling better! an oz of liquid every 15 minutes was the way to go - thank you so much for that suggestion @hockeywife91. Feeling stronger everyday and can't wait for the weight to start dropping off
  18. Thank you, thank you everyone for your help and support. Tried some broth last night and vomited for the first time but to be honest I hadn't felt well all evening. Today is a new day and have had some smooth runny yoghurt and feel better if not a bit weak. Will try having 1oz liquid every 15 minutes and see how I get on- I can't do water for some reason as it makes me queasy but will try some watered down apple juice instead. Can't thank you again for all the support- you all rock!

  20. Thank you all- seems like even though I was following my surgeons instructions I was doing it wrong:( Just so I can get it straight in my head: were most of you doing clear liquids for 4 weeks, then puréed food for 4 and then starting on soft foods. I have been trying to do as you have suggested and only had clear fluids today and feel slightly better already so any suggestions on diet for the next few weeks would be great. Appreciate all your help and kind words
  21. Hi, yes soft solid food like scrambled eggs, tuna salad and baked fish is allowed from day 3 onwards but I think I will just stop that and just have liquids as per your suggestion. What type of foods are you eating if you don't mind me asking? And are you able to drink the 64oz of fluid required yet? Thank you- I appreciate your reply- just feeling sorry for myself and hoping I feel great soon
  22. Thank you for replying- I guess I just wasn't prepared for how I would now feel, the nausea, the gas, then pain, the hiccups- I honestly feel like I have made a huge mistake. Tried to eat two mouthfuls of scrambled egg this morning and just felt awful. Am worried I am not drinking enough- one sip and I get gassy and as for the protein- not going to happen. I keep reading about how wonderful everyone else feels and wish I was there with you all. For the moment I can't stop crying and think I have ruined my life.
  23. Thank you for the advice and for replying- will certainly try that! ????
  24. Thanks for your reply- the burning is getting less, the thirst is not. So thirsty and now have almost constant hiccups. I realize everyone is different, but when am I likely to start feeling better please?
  25. Hi, I am on day 6 post surgery and can't stop hiccuping. Did anyone else go through this and can give me any advice how to stop it? Also when does the drinking get easier please? I am so thirsty and feel like I need to drink a full bottle of water but obviously can't. Thank you in advance

  27. Hi, I had my surgery done on Monday 19th May and since then have been in so much pain. My incisions feel like they are on fire, my belly is full of gas and I am so so thirsty. I want to down a glass of iced water but can only manage little sips before the gas starts to hurt. Please tell me this gets easier - I realize I am only 4 days post surgery and things are bound to get easier but just need reassurance it won't always be like this. Thank you in advance
  28.    Ozikiwi reacted to a post in a topic: Any May 20th surgeries out there?
  29. Hi everyone! I had my surgery on Monday 19th May and I am in far more pain than I anticipated. Was discharged yesterday on day 3 and just feel kind of lost to honest. I know this was the right thing to do for my health but at the same time feel a bit of a failure that I couldn't control my eating on my own and be strong enough to not eat all the foods I know are bad for me. Anyway, I have been sleeved and am excited to start losing weight- have lost 7lbs since surgery on Monday and am excited to finally start living my life! For those that also had surgery this week- how are you all feeling? And what is you post-diet like? Having just been on clear liquids for two days I am scared to move on to the next stage! Looking forward to getting to know you all:)
