  6. Hi anewme2015, how is your progress so far? My surgery is scheduled for Jan 21st. Getting kind of nervous but also excited to finally start this journey.
  7. I started in March 2014 and will have surgery in January 2015. I'm almost there. Can't wait ????
  8. I do too however it takes a very long time from the time you have decided that you want this until the actual procedure. I think 6 months should be more than enough time to weed out the people that are serious and really want this.

  19. Hello Briwls, I'm from Acton which is pretty close to Brampton. Congratulations on your weight loss! I'm still going through all of the pre-op appointments. Can't wait for my turn.
  20. I believe my doctor sent in my referral in March and my first appt was in June. It's a very long process...
  21. I have to meet with the nutritionist next Friday and then hopefully they will tell me when I can meet the surgeon. I'm hoping to have the surgery by the end of the year but I think that's wishful thinking.
  22. Hello, I'm not from Hamilton but I'm not too far away. I live in Acton and am hoping to have the bypass this year. What procedure are you thinking of getting done?
  23. The band is not covered. Only the bypass and sometimes the sleeve.
