Want to throat punch my husband
LOL! The little buggers, no matter what their age, do stress ya out when they live with ya. Good luck DeanieG.....make sure you let us know your surgery date. Oh....and I really liked the unjury Protein drinks made with almond milk. Sadly, I'm supposed to use what my surgeon gave me and it is made with Water....has no "oomf" to it at all......

September Sleevers!
Good luck, BellaLuce4! My surgery is scheduled for Sept 15th and I'm on day three of the pre-op diet. I'm using a journal to keep track of things and I also feel hungry and tired. We can do this!

Want to throat punch my husband
So you were dealing with a 16 year old while going thru the horrific caffeine free pre-op diet, huh? Really.....I don't know if it could get any worse than that! I've got two kids, 20 and 23, and the two of them often make me want to reach for a drink, which I've also given up along with the caffeine. This.... getting our lives on track..... is no easy feat! BTW.....I'm glad you didn't get a felony along the way.

Want to throat punch my husband
I truly feel for you......My husband, who at 55, only weighs about 25 lbs heavier than when we married 31 years ago, got the munchies BEFORE dinner last night and scarfed down 2 big pieces of stuffed pizza followed by his regular dinner an hour later....all in front of me. I, btw, was only on day 2 of my pre-op diet and was already hating it......I didn't want to throat punch him but I was thinking a cast Iron frying pan across his noggin might be a good idea. LOL!

September Sleevers!
I'm on day three of my pre-op diet and I have to say it....it's awful! I'm allowed 2 water based protein shakes a day and 4 oz of lean meat with a half-cup of veggies. I can also have 2 servings of broth, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles plus tons of water. The worst of it is the awful protein shakes. Well, those and the 8 chewable bariatric vitamins I have to take. Don't get me wrong, I can do this and I WILL do this! But, it's not easy. 11 more days to go.......

I finally got my date and it's September 15th. Can't wait to start this journey. I know it will be hard but, like the old commercial says.....I'm worth it! I'm in Illinois and having my surgery at Silver Cross. Is there anyone out there doing the same? Good luck to everyone.....

Any September 15 Sleevers out there?
Hi! I'm so excited! I finally got my surgery date and it's set for September 15th. I start the pre-op liquid diet on the 2nd. Parts of me are scared and other parts of me are excited. Anyone else out there getting sleeved on that day or around it? BTW, I'm in Illinois and using Silver Cross Hospital. Thanks. And GOOD LUCK to everyone!

Wanted: September Sleevers!
Hi again! Just got word today from my surgeons office that I have been approved for surgery by my insurance. The only things left required are things my surgeon wants done, a stress test and a pulmonary test. After those tests are done and the info is sent to my surgeon, my surgery date will be set. I'm thinking it will be some time in September. Wish me luck.....as I wish each and every one of you!

Newbie here.....
Hi.........I've been a lurker for awhile now as I've been starting the VSG process and I thought it was time to say hello. Reading everyone's posts is highly informative and gives me peace of mind as I begin this journey. Thanks to everyone who shares their story. They give us newbies a perspective we couldn't find anywhere else.
