  1. My diet instructions say 4 to 6 ounces. I've been drinking 6 ounces for my protien shakes so I could get all the protien in!
  2. I was treated for it a week, then had my surgery on Monday. I'm home now. No complications .. yet. My stomach hurts the worse today for some reason, but it's not TOO bad. just very uncomfy.
  3. There are plenty of sexy lubricant products that help tremendously with dryness (and taste good too). (also unflavored ones). They really do help with that issue though. I've had dryness since Menopause.
  4. My date is Monday the 23rd. So close! I didn't have to do a liquid diet. I had a low carb, low fat diet. I'm glad so I won't be burned out on the protien shakes before the surgery. Tomorrow is bowl prep day. That sounds fun eh? I live over an hour from the hospital so I have to leave my house at 4am to get to the hospital for my surgery. I'll be up around 3am. I figure, I might not even go to sleep that night. After all, I'll be getting some rest on Monday....
  5. My date is June 23rd. Just a week away. I'm so psyched! I have three appointments this week with the Bariatric center. One for Pre-Ed, One with the surgeon, and then my Pre Admission.
  6. My surgery date is June 23rd. My doctor called yesterday and said my pre op labs came back with Low Potassium and h. Pylori. But these should be treatable before my surgery as long as I started the meds right away. But holy smokes. I have to take 4 meds, 4 times a day for the h. Pylori and they are all timed. Such as, can't take one of the meds within 2 hours of a meal or the other meds. So I had to sit down and write out a pill and meal schedule. I still haven't heard what they want to do about the low potassium. Anyone else experience that?
  7. June 23 for me too! On day four of my pre op diet but it's not too bad. I'm just HUNGRY. I'll be so relieved to have a repreive from being hungry soon. Even if it's only a few months of not being hungry. I've bought some awesome cookbooks and a protien shake book on my Kindle. Amazon.com has some really good stuff on WLS diets and recipies. I just can't wait to look down and see less of me.
  8. The only person you HAVE to live with for the rest of your life is yourself. I'm not saying "be selfish". I'm saying you have to do what makes you happy and healthy. Everything else will fall into place. He should love you with his heart and if he doesn't... then that's not love that's a visual attraction. And visual attraction doesn't last. Because guess what... we all change. Our bodies change, our faces change. Hang in there! My surgery is the 23rd too!
  9. it's finally "official". I had a tenative date of June 23rd, but until they got the last clearence, they wouldn't "promise". But YES! June 23rd will be my surgery date. I sent a request via Facebook to the group.
  10. You can do it! Hang in there. I have one month to go now. It's like a light at the end of the tunnel!
  11. My Date is June 23rd in Sarasota FL
