  1. Everyone is different - I had very minimal pain, barely used the pain pump in the hospital, was up and walking hours after surgery, never had any gas pains and never even took so much as a Tylenol when I got home. So, go in with an open mind and walk as soon as you can!! Good luck!!!
  2. Mine is somewhat like yours except I can have yogurt, oatmeal (very thin), broth and blended/strained soups. I don't exactly know what they mean when they say blended/strained soups so I haven't had any. Oh yeah I can have low fat small curd cottage cheese.
  3. Isn't that a question for your surgeon? Why would you let people on this site dictate when you can go back to the gym?
  4. I was sleeved on 07/14 and eat the cannon 80 cal flavored (no chunks) with no problems
  5. I am only having about 300 calories a day
  6. I currently take two prescribed Prilosec one in the AM and one in the PM so I know my hunger pains are not acid
  7. my surgeon told me "eat when your hungry, drink when your thirsty" so that's what I do. SF Popsicles have become my best friend!!
  8. I had my sleeve done on the 14th and I also feel hungry and keep thinking something is wrong because I can drink all my liquids with no problems.
  9. EGD takes about 10 minutes
  10. Oh now I know what your talking about its an EGD they put you out I was so nervous but it was simple!! Also the physch veal is also very easy. You will do fine
  11. What is the "neck tube thingy"??
  12. That's good I bet you will be fine!! Good luck!
  13. Your thoughts are absolutely normal! I actually had the same fear, dying. It scared me so much that I cancelled my WLS last October. But, after many long months of being in pain, and talking with my surgeon I am happy to say I am being sleeved July 14th and can't wait! I think I'm more nervous about after surgery, how will I feel, will I be sick, how will I know I'm full. But as everything else in life it all works out. Good luck!!!
  14. Maybe we should start a dating club here lol
  15. I was just approved in late June according to their website that is still a requirement but may their website is not up to date. You should call them and ask.
  16. Yes I was my surgery is July 14th my BMI is 38 but I have high blood pressure with medication and pre-diabetic. The only requirement they have is you have to go through the "I can change" program it is a six month program. Once I completed that I got my approval in three days. Good luck!
  17. Mine is the 14th of July start my pre-op on July 4th - this should be interesting! I can have protein shakes, sf jello, sf Popsicle, broths, small curd cottage cheese, yogurt (Greek is best), water, crystal light and very low sugar oatmeal. I think I'm one of the lucky ones! I have to do this for 10 days! I am prepared, a little anxious and scared, but I know I'm doing the right thing!!
