I got my approval 3 business days after submission...there is hope for July! Good luck!!

I also came back positive for h pylori...starting my two week rounds of meds this Friday...hoping to nip it!!

They withdrew approval?!? Omggg I would be devastated!! Good luck this time around hun!!

I am being sleeved 07/31....was originally scheduled for 07/03 but will have been with my company a year on 07/29 and I get better benefits for Short Term Disability if I wait so alas, I wait. Had EGD yesterday and my NU class/EKG 07/07. Pre-op dit starts 07/17

Hey there! I am pretty new here myself! I started this Journey in Febuary and per insurance, completed my 3 month/90 day multidisciplinary supervised diet/psych eval. I cwas finished with all that on 05/07/14 - all my paperwork was submitted to insurance (Aetna) on 05/09/14 and I recived my approval on 05/15/14!! I had my EGD (scope) completed yesterday and all went well! I have the GREEN LIGHT for surgery which I have scheduled for 07/31/14! I have my nutrition class and EKG on 07/07/14. I could have gotten the surgery sooner but, I will have been with my company a year on 07/29/14 and once you have been here a year, you get 2 weeks paid at 100% when you go out for short term disability. Verrrrry excited not only for myself but, everyone here who is embarking on this journey with me! Good luck everyone!

Hey there! I am scheduled for my procedure on 07/31!

I have Aetna and they required a 3 month supervised diet. Initial consultation was Feb 6th, along with my psych eval. Met monthly with nutritionist in Feb, March, Apr, and May. Was submitted to insurance for approval on 05/09 and I got approval on 05/14. I have an endoscopy scheduled for 06/04 and surgery scheduled for 07/31. Could have had it much earlier but with my benefits at work, it was better to wait till after 07/29. So 07/31 it is! Good luck!

Hey all! I am also being sleeved by Dr. Trace Curry at the JourneyLite Center. Just got my surgery date yesterday, 07/31! Got my insurance approval 05/16 just 3 days after submission! I could have had my surgery 07/03 however, I will have been with my company a year beginning 07/29 so, I decided to wait. My EGD is scheduled for 06/04 and my consent/nutrition class is 07/07. How is everyone who's been sleeved already, doing? How long did they put you off work? Hope all is well with everyone!!
