  2. All I can say is....Wow! ..... You look totally different....Congratulations on a job well done
  3. Go Hayley, you look terrific!! Keep doing what you're doing.
  4. I feel you Firefly. I'm trying to lose my last 23-28 pounds by NYE also. My weight too has slowed. I've only lost 5# in the last 7-9 weeks. I do believe it's doable for you to lose the rest of the weight by NYE but you are definitely going to have to add weight training at least 3 times a week for a minimum of 45 minutes to reach this goal. Good Luck!
  5. I'm 153# today. Yay! Slow weight loss but inches are definitely coming off. I'll take it.
  6. Unfortunately, I'm still at 156
  7. You look great, Mywishes85! I noticed we had our surgeries on the same day. Good luck to you.
  8. Whoa DeeJack you look awesome. You look soooo young.
  9. Congratulations on the weight loss jdillon. Keep up the good work
  10. Today's weight is 156 lbs. Thanks for doing this Susan Good Luck to everyone!!
  11. Just remember that the sleeve is only a tool. You truly have to do much of the work. Good luck on your journey!
  12. Hi Megan, You look awesome! So sorry you had some bad experiences in the beginning. I'm so glad you didn't let that stop you from pushing forward.
  13. Hi Becky, My heart is truly aching for all of the pain and suffering you have gone through these past 2 years. I am sending you prayers of healing. I wish you the best of luck on your journey.
  14. Hi Nicole925. I'm so glad you posted. Our journey sounds similar. I am 37 years old. I was also sleeved and had my gallbladder removed on April 8th. I feel you about the nausea after surgery. The narcotic pain meds were too strong for me. I wasn't able to walk until the next day because I couldn't wake up from the anesthesia and when I did I couldn't stand up too long because of the nausea. I ended up needing a pain patch and a nausea patch for the rest of my hospital stay (2 days). I was lucky to not have any pain other than gas pain after the 3rd day. My weight on the day of surgery was 207 but my pre-op weight was 219. I had my 6 mo (24 week) check up today and my surgeon was very pleased. I'm down a total of 63 lbs (51 lbs from SW) with 30 more to go until I reach goal. We talked about the possibility of plastic surgery because my boobs are hanging flapjacks (lol) and my tummy bears most of my weight. I'm so proud of the both of us! I wish you all the best on the test of your journey.
  15. My surgeon recommended that I not have rice, bread, pasta or pizza for the first six months. I tried eating rice but it didn't agree with my new tummy. I would suggest you talk to your surgeon and NUT about what is allowed on your plan.
  16. I'm still 158 lbs, I think I'm officially in a stall, again
  17. I am 37 years old, 5 feet even. My highest recorded weight was 235#. However, when I started my recent weight loss journey in Sept 2013 my weight was 219#. I weighed 207# on the day of surgery, 4/8/14. I am 5 months post op and currently weigh 158# (61 pounds down). My goal is 130#. Although I believe I am a slow loser, I am losing so that makes me happy. I will try to upload some pictures but I'm not really a picture taker (even now that I've lost 61#). I wish you all the best on your journey. Believe and conquer!
  18. You were sleeved on my birthday. You look great! Keep it up.
  19. I know it may be very frustrating but don't give up. Try changing up your eating & exercising routines. I agree with Haleytrim about talking to your nutritionist. I wish you all the best on your journey.
  20. Baby_angel and Sherripark I want to let you know that it does get better as time goes on. I was sleeved on 4/8/14. In the beginning I had nausea, vomiting and could barely eat much of anything. I had difficulty getting in my required Water and Protein amounts until I was about 3 month out. I am 5 months out now and can eat a whole lot more than I could in the beginning which is freaking me out. Just yesterday I wished that I could go back to eating less food because I am afraid that I am eating way too much now. Just try to hang in there and you will soon come to love your sleeve. I wish the both of you all the best on your journey
  21. Hi Chris, Your story made me cry. First let my extend my condolences for all the losses you've endured over the past several years, especially the loss of your daughter. I also want to congratulate you on your weight loss so far and let you know that you can make it to your goal weight ???? Although I do not know you personally, I am so proud of you. Best wishes, Nia
