  2. Also light yogurt is on the list of clear liquids from my NUT. The Greek has a higher protein count than regular. Just make sure it has no fruit chunks. So stick to vanilla, lemon, lime, etc. after almost a week of water and premiere protein that first bite of yogurt was BLISS.
  3. Oh wow. That would be tough. Fortunately I'm a data analyst so I sit all day. Most worried (like the op) about driving the 20 min commute.
  4. I wish I could take a second week but that may just make the eventual return more stressful. I think my fibromyalgia has not enjoyed the surgery and severe Protein and movement changes. But doing better today than yesterday (my toughest day since surgery).
  5. Related to the question about whether or not to tell people about my surgery...my thought is this: extreme weight loss in an out gay man can lead to some seriously inaccurate assumptions. Nope. Not cancer. Nope. Not AIDS. "I had a sleeve gastrectomy." Haven't been ready to post on FB yet. Really don't want to have to reply to all the How-are-you-doing...need-anything lovely comments and concerns. Cuz while they try...well...One friend who knew I was having surgery Monday offered to bring me dinner this week. Sweet. But no. But I think the next week or two...
  6. Dr Farida Buonoua www.faridabounouamd.com/ Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Monday May 12 She did an amazing job speaking to my list of concerns/questions in out first meeting. She's hard to understand sometimes but usually my fiancée catches what I don't.
  7. Howdy. 43yo gay male here. Former head of the local bears group, but after meeting TheOne haven't seen the guys much lately. Had sleeve gastrectomy on Monday May 12 and am so grateful for all my fiancée has done to support me in this journey. I'm starting to believe I won't be obese when we get married in March...
  8. I had surgery on Monday May 12 and have taken the week off from work. I'm hoping I'm up to being back on Monday. But it's Friday and I'm still sore and tired. But getting better every day.
