I found BariatricPal by accident. I googled "Scheduled for gastric sleeve surgery and scared". I found a post and read through it and decided it would be nice to be able to use this to get advice. I am scheduled to have gastric sleeve surgery on May 27, 2014. I am extremely NERVOUS. I am in my mid 30s and so another thing that really bothers me is that I would like to have another child but I feel like I am choosing this surgery over having another child. I can't get pregnant for at least 18 months and at that point I will be in my late 30s and that might be to old for a baby. Sometimes I think I should just back out and figure out what I want to do first but I have been overweight for 8 years now and dieting does nothing for me. I am tired of being over weight and feeling terrible all the time.
