  1. Haven't started purses yet. Next Monday I start...I never thought I would say bring on the puréed chicken...lol. Looking forward to the next stage.
  2. Just stay on track and it will pass. I had a rough week but when the second week came I felt much better. Extremely tired is all at this point. Emotionally not sure what you are referring to, but I have been crying on a drop of a dime, and that so is not me. I think it's due to being tired. Best of luck
  3. Hello, Yes I started with my period as well after the surgery. It had been months for me as well. As far as cravings, yes and no. I have no appetite, what I realize is I am missing flavor. The diet right now is extremely bland and sweet, I am missing salty, savory, smoky and such. I was not a big sweet eater to begin, so I am missing the other right now. I just keep telling myself eventually I will be able to eat again. If I think of a particular flavor I am missing, I look up an alternative recipe, so that when I can eat, I can do it the right way. Best of luck.
  4. Hi, glad to see your success! Keep the faith and stay focus...you can break this plateau and all will be worth it!
  5. Hello, what I was told by hospital staff that if your hairless is within the first three months of the surgery it is most likely from your anesthesia. If your hair loss comes after then it is a lack of protien in your diet. I am very recently post op so I have not had the personal experience to the hair loss and fingers cross it will not happen. I hope this information helps.
  6. Congrats on the loss. Anytime the scale is going the other direction is a good day: )
  7. Welcome. I hope you find this site helpful, I know most of us have received much support and information.
  8. Hoping all went well! Please give us am update on how you are doing
  9. Hi! I had my sleeve on July 1st. I had a little of a rough time after the surgery with nausea and gas. I was unable to handle the. pain meds. I am doing much better a week later. I have no appetite still. It's been hard getting protein and water in at this point. My highest weight was 380, I lost some prior to the pre op liquid diet and have definitely lost since the surgery. I am down 39 lbs ! I have a long journey ahead of me but I am taking day by day, pound by pound. I am excited about starting my new life. I have no buyers remorse at this point and hope I never do. I wish all of the July sleevers the best in this new adventure of our lives!
  10. Hi, Unfortunately I do not. I had my surgery at Kennedy Hospital by Dr. Fakulujo. Did you check the surgeon section of bariatric pal. You can search for the surgeon and if anyone that had the surgery with him should be there. Hope this helps. Good luck with your journey.

  12. Thank you for the info. Much appreciated..lol. Things are moving.
  13. I am so glad you asked about BM.s. I have not either and started to worry. I am having much trouble with getting all the fluid in as well. The gas has let up but still get sharp pains frequently.

  18. No problem. I just refocused the nervous energy to preparing myself which I why I became nervous in the first place. I hadn't researched or even thought what I needed for the surgery. I started reading my written instructions daily and buying pre and post foods so things are better for me. I'm in the excited phase now. So glad you are excited. I know i can not wait. Looking forward to my next chapter in life.
  19. Hi all. Just wondering how all is doing with the liquid diets. I am doing ok so far. Though walking down my street, I can tell what the neighbors are having for dinner these days....lol. It smells so good. Lol
  20. Conflates on your decision to get the surgery even though support sounds limited. I have found this site to be extremely supportive in many ways, hope you do as well. How often do you get to the Philadelphia area?
  21. Good luck to all that have added threads. I hope all is going well.
  22. I start mine tomorrow. My dr lets us have one reasonable meal at night, so fingers crossed I am hoping that will solve my urge to cheat on the two weeks of liquid. I have a picture from my past of the weight I want to get back to, so whenever I feel like cheating, I look at the photo...maybe you can find something like that to keep you on focus. Good luck !!!
  23. Sorry if the post made you nervous. I am just so psyched about getting it finally done. It has taken almost year to get here. I know that I will get nervous either the night before or day of the surgery. Keep your updates coming in, would love to keep hearing from you and all on how your journey is going.
  24. sorry to hear that you were turned down. See if there is an appeal process due to medical necessities.
