Brag session!
Okay so I know through this whole process I have had ups and downs and I know I'm not the only one!! And right now I'm on an extremely good place but I sometimes feel bad for going on about my progress and how great I feel with my friends, so I thought I would do a post and let everyone share their victories big or small that they want to brag about... A little back ground on me, I had my surgery July 25, 2014, in Mexico! My starting weight was 336 and my weight today is 226! So like I said I'm extremely happy with my progress and yesterday I had a check up with my family doctor and he is as well.. My blood pressure has gone way down, my aches and pains are gone, and best of all my Pcos seems to be disappearing! So medically I'm healthy as a horse, I run/walk 5km a day and actually look forward to my work outs all day! I also had someone come into my office today and told me that whatever I'm doing to keep it up cause she had never seen me so radiant!! Life is wonderful!! So let's hear what your successes have been!!

Monumental day 100lbs lost!
Thank you! I do feel amazing!! I suffered from chronic headaches for years and my neurologist blamed it on my weight, of course at the time I denied that! But I haven't had a headache in months, my back no longer hurts, my ankles and feet don't swell up when I'm on my feet for too long and my PCOS is dramatically improving!! And onto of all that, I have all kinds of energy and actually want to exersize cause it makes me feel so good!! I have no complaints!!! Life is awesome!!!

- Monumental day 100lbs lost!
Hello all!! Just wanted to share my victory with everyone! Never in a million years would I have thought that after only 8 months I would be down 100 lbs!!! That's crazy! I went shopping this weekend cause of course nothing fits me anymore and I bought cloths in large!! I used to wear a 2 or 3xl!! Here's a progress pic!! Hope I can inspire any of you that are struggling to make a decision!! Happy Monday!!- Hair loss
I am just about 7 months out from surgery! My hair loss started about 4 months out and is just starting to slow down! Luckily I had really thick hair to start with but its definately scary when I could pull handfuls out with ever shower! I take biotin and eat my proteins but it still happened! Not sure if there is a magic solution! Good luck- Hungry post op?
I felt hunger for the first couple months but now I'm 6 months out and not so much! I do have bad acid reflux which makes me feel hungry! I generally try to eat something every couple hours to keep that at bay! I've lost 95 lbs since surgery!- Should I Consider WLS, specifically, the Sleeve?
If you have any questions feel free to pm me! I'm not an expert by any means but If my experience can help someone I'm glad to help!- Should I Consider WLS, specifically, the Sleeve?
To be honest I found it difficult! I didn't have much for pain just the first couple days , but for me it was finding things to eat or drink that tasted good! My taste buds were out of whack for the first couple months so every thing tasted weird! But your stomach is so small that the smallest amount satisfies the hunger( well it's not even hunger it's just that you need to eat). During this time I wondered if it was all worth it.. But looking back those first couple months were nothing compared to how good I feel now and the result I have gotten in such a short time! Now I can say without a doubt this is the best decision I ever made for myself, and my life!!- I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
Nope Definately not on the fence!! Loving life and loving my sleeve! Thanks!! Everyday things get better!- I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
Well this is my first official before and after photos! I had surgery on July 25 and just a little over 6 months out I'm down 92lbs! I still want to lose at least another 80 lbs! But I'm feeling amazing!- Should I Consider WLS, specifically, the Sleeve?
I'm 32 year old female! And like you I dismissed the idea of wls surgery for years thinking that I could do it on my own! When I finally hit 336 lbs I decided I wasn't going to do it on my own.. I booked my surgery! On July 25 I had the sleeve done in Mexico and now just a little over 6 months later I'm down 92lbs!! This surgery has given me a new lease on life! I feel like I'm actually living now! I have a crazy amount of energy, I work out 5 days a week ( but only started that in the last couple weeks)! I would highly suggest having it done!!- My big secret..
Hello all.. So I was sleeved on July 25 in Mexico! When I started my journey I was 336 today I'm 251 which is awesome! I have only told a handful of people.. And only two family members! The rest of my family is inquiring how I'm losing my weight! I have told them high protein low carb and smaller portions! But im starting to feel like I should just tell the truth... Now my question is, have any of you come clean after fibbing about it, and how was the reaction? I'm worried that they will be mad at me for not being truthful! Some insight would be great!! Merry Christmas!!- All the Alberta girls
I've struggled with protein shakes as well but recently found one that actually tastes good, if you like banana ha ha it's called muscle milk and I buy them at the fast gas here! They are 25g of protein and 220 calories for 414 ml! I totally enjoy them ever morning now!- Cost difference for Canadians for surgery in Mexico?
I'm from alberta and I paid 4500 us for my surgery and then used airmiles for my flight! The Shuttle picked me up at the San Diego airport took me to my airport, and the looked after everything! I think 12000 is a bit much! There is lots of great doctors in the 4500 range!- Im considering surgery-do you regret it?
I was sleeved July 25 I started my journey at 336 and am now 276! That's 60 lbs gone which is amazing! Do I regret it no, not at all but there is things that I have struggled with! And sometimes these things make it hard to be as happy about my weight loss! I'm still finding it a bit hard to judge how much to eat, and nothing tastes good to me right now! It's thanksgiving in canada this weekend and I found it frustrating that all I could eat was 1 Brussels sprout, and tiny spoon of yams, and a tiny slice of Turkey! I've also had some issues with acid and puking! But all and all no regrets! I now eat cause I have to and not cause I enjoy it which was the whole point right!!! Good luck with your journey! - Monumental day 100lbs lost!
