1. i know what you mean about the chemical taste, but the black tea for me is tolerable. i pour it over crushed ice and squeeze a good amount of lime (or lemon) in it. i tried 3 other flavors, but they were really gross. the myoplex is definitely much better tasting. the chocolate fudge is the one i buy. it's not exactly chocolate milk, but very tasty when nice and cold. give it a try and let me know what you think.
2. i have 2 days to go to eat soft foods. i honestly can't wait to have a small piece of salmon which is exactly what i'm planning on having for dinner on wednesday! so far i've been able to take in all my protein, i drink either the black tea flavored isopure (the only flavor i find palatable) that has the 40g of protein and 1 fage plain greek yogurt that has 20g (split morning and afternoon), or i have the yogurt and 1 myoplex chocolate protein shake that has 42g of protein, plus of course, plenty of water throughout the day. i'm so happy i did this and that i'm doing so well, so far. i'm really happy to hear from all you other june sleevers and how your progress is going as well!

6. i had my surgery on 6/25 with dr. angela glasnapp at overlook in summit. she also removed my gallbladder. she was truly amazing. i was home the next day and have been out and about all weekend. my new tummy has been handling everything quite well and i'm so glad i went to njbc. good luck to you and laynie!!!
7. hi guys! just a quick update: my sleeve & gallbladder surgery went super well! under 2 hours and except for an initial bout of nausea, things have been going smoothly. not a ton of pain, some gas, of course, but tolerable so far. thanks for all the well wishes and PMs! hope you are all doing well, also! xo ~jessie

11. so great to read all of these post-op posts! i'm scheduled for my sleeve & gallbladder removal on the 25th and i'm EXTREMELY nervous. it's my first surgery, so that's definitely adding to the anxiety! this site, and specifically this thread, is wonderful. glad to be a part of the june sleevers! congrats to all of us!

13. Anyone from the Union/Middlesex County area? I'm in Garwood and hoping for a surgery date in June. I should know in a couple of weeks at my f/u appointment. I'm looking to connect with local folks as I start writing this new chapter in life. I'm excited, but definitely a bit scared, too. Grateful to have a site like this to share with so many going through the same things. Wish you all well! ~Jessie
14. Not sure why the pic attached like that but hopefully this one is better : that's really awesome to hear. 52lbs in 10 weeks is incredible. you look great!
15. Hey I'm doing very well! Feeling great!! Tomorrow is actually 10 weeks and I'm down 51lbs!! Couldn't be happier with the progress. I like Montes and Glassnap but I decided to go with Montes. She made me feel the most comfortable. You going to Somerset or Springfield? You're not too far from where I am. I'm in Woodbridge. that's really awesome! congrats on the loss so far. i'm familiar with woodbridge. i lived in colonia and worked in avenel for 5 years. i'm going to the springfield center since it's just a few blocks from my current office. i'm so happy to see a local person on here who is a nj bariatric center patient. i'd love to chat some more as you continue. do you go to the support group meetings? somerset or springfield?
16. just wondering how you're doing after 2+ months? i'm going to nj bariatric as well! i saw montes first, but my second visit was with glassnap. i'm hoping to set a surgery date this week for sometime in june. great to see jersey folks on here. i'm from garwood.
