    MEDICARE AND SUPPLIMENTAL INSURANCE

This is from the Medicare website, but thank you I will check it out. Bariatric surgery Who's eligible?Medicare covers some bariatric surgical procedures, like gastric bypass surgery and laparoscopic banding surgery, when you meet certain conditions related to morbid obesity. Note Your doctor or other health care provider may recommend you get services more often than Medicare covers. Or, they may recommend services that Medicare doesn’t cover. If this happens, you may have to pay some or all of the costs. It’s important to ask questions so you understand why your doctor is recommending certain services and whether Medicare will pay for them. Your costs in Original Medicare For surgeries or procedures, it's difficult to know the exact costs in advance because no one knows exactly what services you'll need. If you're having surgery or a procedure, you can do some things in advance to figure out approximately how much you'll have to pay. Ask the doctor, hospital, or facility how much you'll have to pay for the surgery and any care afterward. Make sure you know if you're an inpatient or outpatient because what you pay may be different. Check with any other insurance you may have (like a Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) policy, Medicaid, or coverage from your or your spouse's employer) to see what it will pay. If you belong to a Medicare health plan, contact your plan for more information. Login to MyMedicare.gov, or look at your last "Medicare Summary Notice" (MSN) to see if you've met your deductibles. Check your Part A deductible if you expect to be admitted to the hospital. Check your Part B deductible for a doctor's visit and other outpatient care. You'll need to pay the deductible amounts before Medicare will start to pay. After Medicare starts to pay, you may have copayments for the care you get. Hi Louise Medicare will pay for your surgery as long as it is medically necessary and then your plan F will pick up the rest. My name is Jackie and I am a agent for United Health Care I also worked in the claims department so I know this to be true and also Medicare is the same in all states hope this helps
  5. Hi iI had my surgery 12/12/12 I haven't gained any weight until recently I believe it is all due to the all the stress that I'm going through right now both of my daughter are in the hospital and I've been stress eating and gained 20lbs!!! This scares me I do not want to put this weight back on. How do I get myself back on track?
  6. Does anyone else feel this way? I am 1 yr 4 months post opt. I've lost 75lbs and do feel great, but I've not reached my goal weight. My doctor says I look great, but I want to be about 15lbs lighter and its getting harder to loose and making me less motivated. I don't want to put weight back on! I am a very busy person and feel like I could fall back into the old eating pattern and I don't want to do that. Since I am busy with my job I don't get to the gym on a regular basis. I'm getting tempted to eat more carbs than normal for me.....help I don't want to get out of control.!!!! Any suggestions????
