  1. Hey Lizzie, I don't know how to send a personal message, so I'll reply this way. I've wanted to go to Nova Scotia for 3-4 years. I plan to visit, hopefully next summer. I'll start researching Peggy's Cove, (I have heard of this place) and Cabot Trail. I was looking at reserving an old lighthouse. Thanks for your recommendations. I've seen some good celtic bands from Nova Scotia as well. I look forward to the local music, food and rural life. Thanks again, talk to you soon. Dena
  2. Linda, thanks again for starting these wonderful threads. I agree this is a great idea. You people are so reassuring and motivating for me. I'm 49 years old. Married. I have 2 grown children and 2 grandsons. I live in Memphis, TN, so how close are you in Arkansas, Linda? I'm a nurse practitioner, worked in Internal Medicine and now in Peds. I love to travel, read, study history and new age/eastern religion. I would love to travel to Nova Scotia. Who is/was from Nova Scotia, Lizzie??? I can't remember and I'm not savvy enough to go back and find the source while writing this, so sorry if I am incorrect.
  3. Hi All. I was banded on 11/21. My pre op diet was 24 hours clear fluids, then clear fluids until day 4, then full fluids for the first week. I applaud you people who had to stick to liquids for 4 weeks. How in the world did you do it??? I have my first follow up appt 6 weeks post op. At that time, the doctor will decide on a fill or not. I go back to work tomorrow, I think I will be ok, but I'm prepared to leave at noon if tired. Thank you all for your comments, I'm learning so much from you.
  4. I'm new at posting, this is my first; but I had to express my gratitude to all of you responding to this thread. This has been my source to expectations and recovery. Everything that I've experienced has been shared by you and happily reinforced just how normal and on track my progress has been. Thanks so much and I look forward to learning how to post and communicate here. I hope I can give as much as I've received.
