Well today starts my 14 day all liquid Optifast diet. I started this Journey over 10 years ago with my high weight being #423 over several years I was able to lose 175# with diet and exercise and kept it off until 2006. Then I had a heart attack at my lowest weight of 248#. That started the gain back and other health issue too. When I decided to go WLS my weight was 360 # about 6 months ago. My Surgical clearance was 333# so that is 27# loss over 6 month monitored weight program. Today I start the all liquid at 327# Just 4# away to get my 100# loss back. It will be interesting to see what my day of surgery weight will be. If you are the praying type like me, I would appreciate some now till surgery on October 20, 2014!!

I think you are lucky, the more busy we are the less we may concentrate on missing food! Try to think this is our final lap and we only have one more hurtle until we cross the surgery line...uh finish line. In a month this will just be a badge of honor that you survived and are stronger person for it.

Here is a couple ideas, blend ice into the drink and add some cold Water. It may be to think and high in protien. little more quanity but soomther going down. The other idea is to additional flavoring to them like Davinci Syrups sugar free version or just regular flavoring extract like coconut flavoring. PB2 works too or just a small amount of regualr PB, do not need much to flavor it. Hang in there our road about to get bummpy!

I would not worry too much, each Surgeon has their own requirements. I did do the EDG and it found the most that I was not aware of. I now know that I have a Hiatal Hurnia and I tested positive for H Pylori so now I am on some nasty Antibiotics (metal taste in mouth 14 days ugh) to clear that up before surgery on Oct 20. We are all getting close to our date!

Hopefully I will be coming home the same day you go in. My date is Oct. 20...

Now we have the date and most our task are over the mind wants to take over and go negative. A big part of this journey is; we have to change Mind, Body and Soul. So start working on the mind peace. We KNOW this is right for us or we would not have made it this far! We can do this!!! Besides you are not losing 90% of your tummy...you are gaining a SLEEVE!! Its very powerful Tool, that you must respect but when used with the proper technique, you will see some amazing results from your hard work....Com on ....WE got this....

A lot happened today, I had my final surgical clearance with my surgeon. He confirmed I have Hiatal hernea that will require a repair while doing my VSG. Also stated I had H Plyorie infection and would be on antibiotic regiment for 14 days. My insurance sent my notice I was APPROVED!!! Then I got my SURGERY DATE October 20, 2014!!!!!! One happy camper...

Well today was my EDG procedure. My doc said all went well. Scope time was all of 4 minutes. I read over the report later after I had a clearer head and it said they did do a biopsy but he said they almost always do. It also said I had a Hiatus Hernia. I was hoping that i did not have one of those. It seems folks have pain longer when they have to do VSG and Hernia repair if that will be required. I have my surgical clearance on 9/25/14 and will find out then. I should also learn my surgical date then too and will hopefully start my 14 day liquid diet . I have it ordered and will pick up on 25th.

I got my medical clearance and submitting to insurance!! I have probably only about 30 days or less now!!
