How long did it take for approval?Wow I wonder if my doctor is doing the single incision also...that would be once less worry about itching from incisions healing!I purchased Chike and unjury Protein for my first week to see if I like the protein...whats the name of the meal replacement that you tried?

OMG bless you. I would hate to do 4 weeks of pre op but at least you get to put something of substance in your body!You can do it though!

I would like to know why everyone has different pre-op also but my coordinator said my surgeon doesn't want people to have to do such a long fast and go without eating considering we wouldn't be eating much after the surgery. I am going to get clarity when I go to my pre-op. I will let you know...

I am nervous also about the eating routines but I am going to purchase baby spoons and forks, etc...I am getting rid of all of the big plates,bowls,etc as well. When is your surgery?

Yes, I am so excited. I am trying not to pay attention to the days but I keep counting down! I feel like I am going on vacation or something! I am just dreading that nasty sprite tasting drink though! I hope you do well in your surgery in a few days. Please let me know how everything went!

Congrats everyone on this journey. My doctor told me he didn't want to make me suffer with the 2 week liquids diet. I just have to make sure I am not bigger than my starting weight!! Hopefully the pain is equivalent to my gallbladder surgery 10 years ago...

My doctor is only making me do pre-op liquids the day before my surgery. I am going to do liquids on my own a few days before just to make sure ive lost a few extra pounds. My surgery is 6/17/2014. Anyone else have to do pre-op for only one day?

I was preparing myself for a long wait...when is your surgery date?

My bariatric coordinator sent my paper work off last Friday afternoon and she called me today with the good news! I didn't think it would be this quick!! I did a bunch of worrying for nothin! I put my faith in God and im letting him handle the rest!! Im hoping to schedule tomorrow for June 16th!

Hello...with the whole 6 month requirement before your approval, does it still have to be consecutive visits to your doctor?

Hello. I am new to all of this and I just did my seminar and want to start the process in having surgery. I have read that BCBS of Georgia PPO doesn't approve the sleeve surgery. Has anyone with the this insurance plan had a problem with getting approved for the sleeve? My bmi is over 40 btw.
