  4. Thanks! I had called my surgeon as he is in Mexico and he pretty much said the same thing about the nerve. I just didn't know if someone had similar with suggestions or any relief maybe it's the eggs as I am trying to stick to a similar meal plan each day till I get to my goal. I will try passing on the eggs and substituting with something else to see how it works out. Thanks for your response

  7. Hey, I am 5 months post op and within the last couple of weeks I am getting pains in my left shoulder- the same pain I had after my surgery. I have read that it is cause from eating to fast or much- I am being very careful to chew very well and slow- the pain starts with just a couple of bites and I know I am not full or satisified. For example this morning I had a quarter cup of egg whites done in the microwave and a tbs of salsa on the side, by my third bite I was in pain. I didnt have this issue before and I am starting to get a little freaked out as to why it would just start happening. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  8. Thanks everyone.. I know I read a lot about it before getting banded but my hair was always very thick and I didn't think much about it- but it has thinned out so much that it has started to scare me. I was thinking it looked worse then it was because my hair is long but it has gotten very very thin now.. I hope it starts to grow back soon. Thanks for the words of encouragement

  10. Thanks everyone! This app seems great! And I am hoping to get as much info as possible from here. I am always looking for new ideas wither it be food, exercise, or just routine looking forward to getting to know fellow bandsters
  11. I will start with a little about me, as I am very new to this app I was banded nov.13th,2013. I found out I was pregnant nov.28th but unfortunately had a miscarriage on jan.10th,2014. I actually started my weight loss journey after that. I weighed in at 253.7 pre-op and today I am 218.4. It's a slow process but I am pleased so far however my hair is falling out like crazy! I do take biotin but it's not seeming to help- any ideas??

  13. Hello! I am from Alberta Canada and I was banded Nov.13th by De.Kuri in Mexico. I have had some struggles but I am down 34.4lbs. I am looking for someone who is looking for someone to chat with, hold me liable , give each other motivation and what not. I could use all the help I can get and I love to meet new people..
  14. I traveled from Alberta to Mexico in November 2013 to get banded by Dr.Kuri and it was amazing! Dr.Kuri and his staff are awesome!!! I have no regrets and would do if all over tomorrow if I had to . I was banded nov.13th and two weeks after my surgery I found out I was pregnant, so my weight loss journey got out on hold- unfortunately I had a miscarriage on jan.10th but have been dealing with emotions and trying to carry on with my journey. I have since lost 32.4lbs since my pre op weigh in. Slow process but I will get there you get what you put into it- the band won't do it for you! Good luck on your journey I assure you Dr.Kuri is an awesome choice!!
