  3. Okay.. well the pre op diet was one of the hardest things for me. You really have to have your mind in the right state. I was emotional before, I think it was all the nerves just building up. The day of surgery wasn't to bad. There is so much going on with getting you prep for surgery you really have no time to think and then I was given meds to calm me down and I was completely out of it. I forgot I was getting ready to have surgery. After surgery I did not have a drainage tube but I did have a tubes in my belly to release medicine in there. Not sure what it was called. Didn't hurt when coming out, it just felt extremely weird. But I pulled mine out myself a couple days after I was released. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days because I wasn't getting enough fluids. It was hard to drink for me. For sex I waited about two weeks, just have to be careful and not to crazy lol. I'm waiting to get pregnant after about 15 months. Hope this helps!
  4. Yes the binder helped with keeping everything tight. I used it to sleep and walk so I wasn't using to many muscles cause that mess starts to really hurt when your using your muscles.

  6. Does your lower stomach hurt? The binder is pretty bulky. If you are just looking for something to hold you in cause of loose skin I would just use a griddle since it's smooth and cant see under clothes.
  7. When I had surgery I got a abdominal binder from my doctor. It was a life saver the first two weeks. Check with your doctor's office.

  11. Hello Congrats on getting closer to your surgery day. I think the liquid diet before was one of the hardest things I have done. It's so hard because everyone around you is eating and all you can have is yucky protein shakes. Lol but I can say around day 5 for me was when things got so much easier. The two weeks really flew by. Before I knew it, it was surgery day. Get as much protein in as you can now because after surgery will be a challenge. I am a month post op and I'm still trying to get all my protein in.

  17. Well I'm doing very good. Slight pain. Been up and walking, not much gas pains but I know they will show soon. No nausea. Thanks for all the best wishes.
  18. Good luck. On my way as well and just trying to keep calm. See you on the loser bench !
  19. I live in the nova area. Surgery is on Monday!
  20. Yes!! It is horrible. I'm going to talk with my dietician and see if I can go buy some broth to have. I know some people get to eat vegetables.
  21. I would kill for some Greek yogurt and skim milk. My diet is so strict. I really hope it gets better. I'm going crazy lol. I feel like I'm starving myself.
  22. Yeah I'm trying to stay active in hopes it will help with healing faster after surgery. Yeah all liquid :/. I have three different protein shakes which are bad but I can handle them and some vegetable soup which I completely hate and will not have it again.
  23. I started yesterday. It has been rough these two days for me. I'm really hungry. But I also go to the gym frequently and with me only having so few calories I'm burning everything off. But I will just stick it out. My doctor said I will be in the hospital between 1-3 days depending on my pain level and if there might be any complications.
  24. Good luck to you! I am on the 21st as well and the nerves are really setting in!
