  1. I was sleeved on the 14th. I am still in Phase 2. i am so hungry and can't wait to start eating solids, but I realize this Phase is important, maybe to help the stomach heal and keep its small shape. I am so tired of the soup and Protein shakes. i am back to work and would like something to hold me over and give me energy. I have my doc appt on Friday, can't wait to see the weight loss!
  2. I am four days out of surgery. I dont feel much pain and i'm feeling hungry. I wonder if doc didnt take much stomach out or didnt take out ghRELLIN? iS this normal? Other people are feeling much more restricted and I'm worried
  3. I had the sleeve surgery on May 14th, two days ago. I am feeling hungry, which is surprising because I thought the ghrellin hormone was removed and the hunger would not be so bad. I felt hungry almost immediately. I'm not able to eat much which is good, but I am worried that my appetite will be a problem. Anyone else feel this way too? Thanks
  4. I have a sugery date of may 14th and I'm undecided if I should do the sleeve or the bypass. I am on the lower bmi and i have read so many conflicting stories about whether or not the sleeve has success with people with lower bmi (30-40). anyone have advice, I like sweets and thought the bypass was a good way to avoid them, but my doc says the sleeve is a safer surgery.
  5. I had my lap band removed a year and ago and have just been approved for the sleeve. i was really hoping to do the bypass but my doctor wants me to do the sleeve. I really hope its not like the band, I did not have success with it. Please give me any advice. thanks
  6. I have decided, with them help of this forum, to go ahead with the sleeve. My next issue is that my bmi is 37 and the nurse told me my insurance company does not always approve bmi so low. she said that I would need to appeal if I'm denied. has anyone had this issue and did it work out? Please respond if you have any insight! Thanks!! I have decided, with them help of this forum, to go ahead with the sleeve. 9. i am having the sleeve done in May but i'm still worried that it won't be as successful as the bypass. The doctor says its my decision but i really dont know anyone who has had the sleeve. the people I know have had the bypass and had great sucess. I love sugar so I know that the bypass will prevent me from eating sugary Snacks, I am not a bulk eater, Please help me understand the pit falls, if any, of the sleeve and eating ice cream, candy, Cookies, etc. I'm really confused! thanks!
