    Calorie Intake - Postop VSG

Ive been getting in about 900-1100 calories a day when i rememr to eat! im a little over a month out from having my surgery (june 9) and was 408 that morning, this am i am 378, my highest weight was 444 (at 6'6") in early may. the myfitnesspal app has def been a life safer and helped alot to track my calories and Protein intake. ive heard of these stalls and i know ill have one or many sooner or later. my doc told me to just continue to work through it and it will break, switch up excersize routines and the types of food you eat from time to time to trick your body. we shall see i guess.

HW- 440 SW- 408 (June 9) CW- 387 as of this am. 6'6" height Its been an amazing journey so far... didn't expect to get these type of results. Still difficult to get in all the protein, so damn tired of the shakes! Its also difficult cooking for everyone else in the house esp when I can't eat it! Lol. Started pureed foods today with Greek yogurt and pudding with protein powder in it.

June 9th Sleeve - Looking for friends!

Well we are officially a week and a day from having surgery.... And I feel ok so far. Still a bit sore and still get some pressure build up once in awhile. The good news is I am down 17lbs since the day of surgery and 47lbs total since mid may! Everyday seems to get easier!

June 9th Sleeve - Looking for friends!

Hello all... I am scheduled to get 'sleeved' on June 9th as well... and that also happens to be my 36th birthday! im not sure if that is a good or bad thing, none the less i am looking forward to getting this thing done! I am 6'6 currently 430lbs (as of 3 weeks ago) and have been on a 'optifast' protein shake and bar diet only since last monday (5/19). 7 servings and nothing but sugar free jello, crystal lite, and water for the past week has been difficult at times and at times not so hard. This past weekend was hard with all the cookouts but i made it through! I'm ready to get this over with as i am sure most of you are as well! good luck to all those riding this train to a new body!

    Always being a 'big guy'

Wanted to say hello to everyone... This is my 1st offificl post but iven lurking for awhile getting tips and advice and just wanted to say i appreciate it all. Anyway.... being 6'6 435lb i am always the big man... i never was THIS big though. I played college football at between 265-285 and would like to get backto that e again. Ppl tend to think im 100lb lighter than i am and i usually just shrug. but i totally understand the 'big guy' issue... i was always big... from the time i was 10 til 15 my age and shoe size were the same... when i was 12 i was 6' 185 and easily dunking a basketball... i hope i dont lose a ton of muscle but i know it is inevedable. time will tell. i should be having my sleeve surgery in late may early june and at this point im ready to just get it the hell over with!
