  6. My only goal has been to become healthier and develop a healthy lifestyle. I had my surgery in October, have lost 36 lbs, cut my insulin use to less than half, eliminated my blood pressure medication entirely, my gastroparesis is gone, and I feel better and better with each passing day. I view the surgery as a tool to use in becoming a healthier person. I am a Type 1 diabetic on insulin pump therapy. I am pleased with my progress. ???? Sometimes I wonder if numbers stress us out too much.
