Can you guys who are seeing success tell me what your calorie intake, diet and exercise look like? Thanks.

Awesome. I've been on a 4 week plateau, but my clothes keep fitting better and better. I've read some by a guy named Lyle McDonald that during large fat loss periods, when triglycerides are released for energy, water enters into the fat cell. This results in a plateau though the mission is being accomplished. Then, after an indeterminate amount of time, a mass exodus of water leaving the fat cells occurs and another large drop in body weight occurs. My weight has stalled out for the past week and a half. Not really worried, just sucks. Clothes fit great which is how I'm gauging success.

I bought 2 cases of them. Have yet to finish one bottle since surgery on the 20th of May. I have totally sucked at getting my 60 grams of protein. However, I'm doing very well on getting my La Madeleine Tomato Basil soup down.

That was a good pun. 8/10 I understand the hunger for sure. I think I'm just use to it now and don't care.

Getting a little tired of Protein shakes and thin liquids in general. Also been struggling to stay thoroughly hydrated. Down 18 pounds since surgery (5/20) and down 36 pounds since the beginning of this month (5/1). I will say something happened during surgery that's caused my right thigh to go completely numb and cold to the touch. A little concerned about that healing back correctly. Apparently a nerve is compressed between the L3 and L4 discs. This happened during surgery cause I didn't have this before. Glad to hear everyone's been doing pretty well. Keep it up!

Everyone's diet and fluid intake seems to be different. That will have a large impact on weight loss. Most of the weight we have been losing has been fluid loss. I wouldn't be discouraged at all if I were you. I bet you are doing a great job.

Sounds like 30cc of Milk of Magnesia would do the trick. My surgeon had me do that and it worked within 2 hours.

Mine was yesterday. Your stomach is making sounds too? Mine really started sounding/feeling like its hungry. Not head hunger--stomach hunger. Regardless I don't feel like eating. Thanks for sharing.

Teemarie, great news. Proud of you and everyone else that started this journey. I am supposed to get in 60 grams of protein and 60 ounces of liquids. It's a struggle for sure. Got a 15 min alarm going all day as a reminder. I will say the Isopure RTD's are great for this. It's not a mixed protein. It's like crystal light, but with 40 grams of protein, thanks to the whey protein isolate which is the fastest absorbing protein you can get.

My surgery went well today. It was at 9:30am, but didn't get discharged until 5:30pm, but that's becausee the anesthesia wasn't letting my bladder release, so we had to wait til nature took its course. Overall, Dr Nicholson and his staff were superb. They are the epitome of professionalism and high levels of communication. My challenges so far have been bloating and some medium level of pain, but nothing I can't handle. I did just take some hydrocodeine to ease some of the pain. I felt much better walking around than when I was sitting. I could not stay awake almost all day when I was sitting. How did y'all's surgeries go?

Quest Bars hands down. Taste is great, but the ingredients are what make them stand out. Very pure in comparison to what is on the market.

I really thought I'd be nervous at this point. Surgery is in less than 36 hours and I am not nervous at all. I think it's all just so surreal, I don't believe it's really happening. I'm just doing what I'm told to do and keeping my head down--just trusting my surgeon and his staff.

I think you all are awesome. Appreciate hearing everyone's mental preparations as well pre-op diet plans. Again, my surgery is on the 20th here in Dallas and started my pre-op on May 6th. Over the last six days of the diet, I have lost 12 pounds. Overall it's been pretty easy sticking to it, but there have been some points where I have had the internal battle of wanting something outside the regimen. I'd say I've stuck to the diet 95%. My surgeons plan for me is the following: 5-6 Protein bars or shakes 1 meal with 5 oz. of lean meat and two cups of vegetables Water I will say that I still hate the fact I want massive quantities of food (trying not to list them here). It scares me if I'm honest. Not so much scared of regaining weight, though that exists--more so the fear of still being dominated by food. I hope that this surgery gives me the wherewithal to eat responsibly and exercise consistently. Let's be strong together. Believe this surgery will empower us for health and life. Looking forward to touching base with you all after the surgery!

May 20th in Dallas, TX with Dr. Nicholson. Have my pre-op clearance physical tomorrow with my PCP. Totally amped to get this thing going. Where's your mind been lately around the surgery?
