  14. May Sleevers in general we are 5 months out and we are redefining our normal! I'm about 20 lbs from my ideal weight but I couldn't be happier 65lbs down.
  15. Beachplum-you rock!

  17. Mochax finding a buddy is essential. It may be time to tell someone even if they haven't been sleeved just so you have a source of support outside of the forum. With that said....be as negative as you need to be so you can purge it! I'm 5 mo out and I did nothing but complain for 2 months. Now--63lbs later and healthier than I've ever been I don't regret any part of my process. You will get there...I promise. Stick to the plan ..complain...pray...stick to the plan...complain some more and pray more! You will see in time that this was a great thing. No testimony without a test!
  18. Ok MAY Sleevers it's time for our 3 month roll call. What's your weight loss? What's your greatest challenge? What's your biggest surprise at this point in your journey? Answer all three questions. So, I was sleeved May 22. I'm down 56 lbs from 230 to 174. My challenge-learning what my body simply wants to reject. My surprise-actually learning to enjoy exercise!
  19. Everyone is doing so well. It's great to see the success one can have in one month. As for hunger. ..I'm hungry all the time! Every 2-3 hours I must eat...I just make the right food decisions. Going for my 6wk check Tuesday and off I go to continue the journey.
  20. This is soooo great! I love all of the success stories. However big or small we are all losing and on a similar journey to achieve health...and look good while doing it! Here's to our sleeves!!!

  22. I love this! Congrats to you all...and kudos to me for being right on track w my weight loss. BTW in #s I was 220 coming home from surgery and I'm 192 now! Can't wait to get to the 180s!! Loving my journey.

  24. Im curious about my own progress, but also wanted to give others a place to "brag" about their progress. We all lose at our own pace but to know that you're in a range doing well is another level of motivation I could use right now. I've stalled more often then not it seems like. So I will go first: May 22 surgery; down 28 lbs and 2 of 3 blood pressure meds!!
  25. Try cream of wheat w milk. Green pea soup has 9g of protein. I love omelettes so I makes 3 tbsp of egg white, 1oz salmon, slice of low fat cheese and onions. ...then I put it in my blender w lactaid milk.... that's close to 17g of protein and its good. I also just started coming and blending everything! From chicken breast to turkey ground beef and black eye peas! Anything w protein can be pureed so have fun with it.
  26. It's odd that you weren't given food/intake instructions. I'd back out of solid foods and try the pureed or soft food phases first. Your body is telling you that you arent ready yet. ... listen! And call your doctor. ..he/she owes you some nutritional instruction and help. Don't be miserable after giving yourself such a wonderful gift. Good luck!
  27. I have two questions: how long does incisional discomfort last (the larger incision used to remove 3/4 of stomach)? And when does your energy return? I'm 3wks post opt and about 25lbs down. I stopped taking the pain meds a few days post surgery with no problem but all of a sudden the area is always 'present'...not painful but quite uncomfortable. I'm also really tired. ..feeling drained! I know it takes time to bounce back. ..just looking for my light. Thanks for the feedback!
  28. Definitely both. It's great to taste food...I pureed them separately to maintain taste but I'm definitely approaching full. BTW I meant 3tbsp of beans..not oz. Big difference!
