  1. Thanks for the motivation...10 days ago sleeved and I'm on my journey!
  2. Thanks for all of the encouragement. Indeed today was a good day! The pain is minimized I took two 30min walks and I'm on track to get my protein in today. A big difference in just days. Things are looking up. And I should mention being 20lbs down from surgery just 7 days ago! I'm so grateful to God for turning things around.

  5. I'm needing some prayer and cheerleaders. I'm exactly one week from surgery and down 13lbs. I should be excited but I feel so bad the weight loss means nothing! I still can't get everything down and daily pray that I don't dehydrate due to severe heartburn. They kept me in the hospital for 4 days because of it and still no combination of drug is working. I'm concerned about potential hair loss and needing to live with this pain. ..It's way too much. Really feeling like I made the wrong decision right now. Who knew that heart burn could be so significant? ??@!@@@

  7. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Staying positive.
  8. I'm 3 days post opt and the heartburn is keeping me here. It's so severe that even with no oral input it bubbles and burns. I pray this goes away bc it's slowly taking the joy out of the decision to do this.
  9. I'm 3 days post opt and still in hospital on IV fluids. I'm having severe reflux/chest pressure. My xray amd swallow study went okay but I've been gagging. This pain in the center of my chest is unbearable at times. They tell me it will just take time. .. but I'm nervous. Anyone else go through this? I don't want to regret this@
  10. Literally in transit to surgery. Soliciting your prayers! I can do this and God already has!
  11. Philly is here! And thanks for all of the prayers and support. Two days to go. A bit nervous, but yet trusting God for an uneventful surgery and dramaless recovery! I wish the same to each of you embarking om your journey this week!
  12. May healing be yours in Jesus name. This may be a set back, but you will make a come back!
  13. Cherrytree I'm being sleeved Thursday as well! I'm feeling a bit anxious about the surgery. ..pain expectations...hair loss!!! After really praying, I've decided to accept these concerns over high blood pressure...chances of a stroke...sleep apnea...arthritis in my knees! Keep it in perspective and let God be God. He can handle the pressure. Lets stay connected (and others going in this week). Encouragement and accountability is key

  18. It's official...3 days to my sleeve! I'm wondering if I should be taking this time to do something. Any words of wisdom...things you wish you knew to do, say, ask the week of surgery?
  19. Many thanks to you all. I was advised to stay clear of liquid vitamins until 6 plus wks for fear of me not getting it all down in addition to my protein...but it is my preference. I will go with chewables for now and see how I respond post surgery.
  20. My surgery is Thursday and I'm getting overwhelmed!! Sooo many options for vitamins. Recognizing everyone's tastes are different, I'm hoping to gauge what most people tolerate well that's affordable so I can go buy/order online for my arrival home. Thanks!!!
  21. I have a date...though not fully insurance approved, my surgeon is moving forward with plans to sleeve me on May 22. I'd love to have a few partners to corresponds with as I start the two week pre op journey...and of course the post op haul. I think sharing stories, encouragement and a simple reassurance of me not being crazy when things happen will be nice.
  22. Yay us! Make sure you share your date ince received and I'll do the same.
  23. I'm finally resolved. I've spoken with my nurse and surgeon and I'm resolved that my apnea will get better, but perhaps not alleviated. As a stance of faith I'm praying and believing otherwise but I acknowledge the potential outcome. Thanks everyone for your feedback. I'm pushing forward.
  24. All done and thumbs up!!! It was painless.
