  1. Please tell me what you eat then bc I'm seriously getting bored w the same foods over and over!
  2. I put the banana in my protein shake this morning. But if I eat it, you're right I can only eat 1/2.
  3. Ok someone help because I'm seriously having a hard time keeping my carbs under 50!
  4. Yes. I've had chicken and some lunch meats so far (turkey & roast beef).
  5. Tomorrow I will be 1 month post op. I have only lost 14lbs and my weight has kind of stalled. I'm seriously bored with food too! I honestly don't know what to eat that's not carbs!! Help!
  6. Yes the weight comes off easier but your head still thinks the same!!! I still want to sit down and have a burger and fries! Thing is before I would have just done it now I know I can't do it but it doesn't make me want it less!!! This is not the "easy" way out under any circumstances!!
  7. Was sleeved 4/7, so 2 1/2 weeks post op, whenever I go walking outside my left shoulder starts hurting when I take deep breaths. Could this still be from the surgery??!
  8. Was sleeved 4/7, so 2 1/2 weeks post op, whenever I go walking outside my left shoulder starts hurting when I take deep breaths. Could this still be from the surgery??!
  9. Ha I'm 2 weeks out and I've been thinking the same exact thing!!!
  10. You look amazing!! Congrats and keep up the good work!! Enjoy your new life!!
  11. That's exactly it! I'm so bored! Tried strained cream soup (yuck!), tried canned chicken & mayo (eh!), tuna w mayo and egg salad was fine. Sooo sick of cottage cheese and I really don't like the yogurt I've been eating. Also choking down protein shakes!!!
  12. I am really trying! It's very hard!
  13. Ok I was sleeved on 4/7, last week was liquids, this week puréed and start soft foods next week! I am sooo sick of puréed foods! Today was the first day I wondered "What have I done?!"
  14. Was sleeved on 4/7. Getting a little better each day, started on puréed foods today. I took my girls out shopping for a bit today. By the time wee reached the register at Kohls I was done! I wanted to pay with part cash/part check card and the girl at the resister could not process how to do it. Now normally I'm a calm person, even if someone annoys me but today, not so much! I got very nasty, very quickly with the woman. Strange for me! Anyone else having any mood issues??
  15. Once again I think every Dr is different. My doctor didn't tell me I needed to crush any pills. They gave me pain pills and Nexium the day after surgery.
  16. Yes I'm pretty excited about puréed foods too! I don't go back to the dr until the 22 but I have my instructions for the first 4 weeks. Still trying to figure out exactly what to buy for the puréed phase tho!
  17. I was sleeved on the Monday the 7th. Could've gone home on Tuesday but I was miserable so I stayed till Wednesday. Felt better today than I have. Walked for 30 mins yesterday and today. Getting tired of the same ole protein shakes though. Looking forward to puréed next week just for a change. Not hungry though. Belly is still quite sore and have trouble sleeping. Haven't taken anything except Tylenol since I got home. Can't wait till I'm completely healed!
  18. Thanks for the tips! I felt much better today. Took walks outside today and yesterday and even did some laundry today. A little more myself finally. My shoulder started hurting today tho. I thought it was kind of weird 4 days post op it would start, hoping it's normal. I'm going to try to sleep in my bed tonight bc I just don't think I can do the couch another night! Interested to see how puréed foods go next week.
  19. Thank you! I had my first BM today and that actually made a HUGE difference! Trying to move around and not sit all day! Sipping on the protein drink too. I haven't managed to get a whole one down yet!
  20. Really? My surgery was also the 7th and I'm not anywhere near feeling normal! Still have gas pains, terrified to overdo it on the protein drink, stomach feel weird and not normal at all. My back hurts and sleep is a joke, last night was my first night home and I tried sleeping in bed part of the night but ended up in a recliner the rest of the night and still didn't sleep great. I'm going to get dressed and take a walk outside in a bit but normal is definitely NOT in my vocabulary yet!
  21. I'm still in some pain. Sleeping is tough, I'm afraid to drink too much and still have a lot of gas. Have had a lot if back pain too.
  22. Surgery was fine but I'm in a lot of pain. Back and gas pain and some nausea foo
  23. As I lay here at 4:15am I have to start getting ready to go to the hospital. I'm still scared and saying goodbye to my girls last night (they are staying at a friend'a house) was awful for me! Definitely scared I'll never see them again, but I'm putting it in God's hands now. I will update as soon as I can. Hang in there Jennifer2575! Good luck & prayers to everyone going in today!
  24. I'm in the same boat as you Jennifer2575!!! I go tomorrow and I've been a mess all weekend! I have 2 girls 8 & 11 and I'm so scared I won't be here for them!
