  1. I was told to purchase Bariatric Advantage shakes and I think they come in six or seven flavors. I really wish I could get some opinions on the flavors before I purchase any of these. Favorites? Forever in the trash?
  2. Yea you!!!! You claim and take full responsibility for that 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. patt0122 I would love to meet and start a support group out this way. I am in the anxiously waiting stage to get final word from my insurance company. My surgery will be at DePaul and it is fine for the surgery but will not work for their support groups.
  6. I will let you know for sure. Endoscopy is Thursday.
  7. I live in OFallon. Keep me posted on how you are doing!
  8. Is there anyone out there from the St. Charles County area of Missouri???? I would love to have someone to be a local buddy. Dr. Mario Morales will be doing my VSG at DePaul hopefully in the next 4-6 weeks.

  11. Thanks everyone! Your information has helped a great deal. I feel so excited about a surgery!!!
  12. I have a very sedentary job in front of a computer at work. Park just outside the office, not a walk at all. Has anyone gone back to work in 7-10 days after having their VSG. I am hoping to.
  13. So happy and well yes a bit jealous (waiting for my VSG to be scheduled). Keep us all posted on your progress. Tomorrow will be a great day for you!

  16. Congratulations! Can't wait to hear about your journey!!!!!
  17. I am extremely proud of my decision and this journey I am about to embark upon. That being said, I only told my boss and three close coworkers (out of 40) and outside the office my husband, two daughters and two friends. I am not embarrassed only want to surround myself with positive supporting folks. In time they may know the whole journey tale but for now just plan to tell the truth about the weight loss.....portion control, limited carbs, no sugar and exercise.
  18. @@Iambeautiful thank you for the words of support. I have been to the seminar, met with the diatician, nurse and psychologist and have been cleared by insurance. Finally I get my appointment with Dr. Morales. Will they schedule my surgery then or are there more steps. Did you purchase your protein shakes in their store? I live in OFallon, MO by the way!
  19. Looking for sleevers in the Missouri area of St. Charles County! Anyone out there? I have my appointment with Dr. Morales at DePaul on Friday. Nerves are starting but I can't wait!
  20. I am wondering the same thing too SweetSophia. I have been to the seminar, gotten the green light from my insurance compamy, met with the dietician, psychologist and nurse. This Friday on 4/4 I have my first appointment with Dr. Morales. So glad my insurance didn't require the six month diet because I am ready to get this done! Just wondering how long I have to wait after I see Dr. Morales before my surgery is scheduled.
