  1. I lost a good friend of mine on this medication. She kept losing weight and loved the results. But once she stopped taking it she gained all plus more weight. So she started up again and lost the weight and she didn't want to take a chance to stop. So she kept taking it and died. I hear it is addictive but then again Everybody is different. At one time they took it off the shelves because so many people were dying from it. But it is back on the market because they took out one of the ingredients. Ever since the change was made....I haven't heard any bad feedback on it. So I thought of letting you know. You can always ask your doctor what is the safest way. I had the RNY done in 2013 and it is doing pretty well. I lost 87 pounds. No regrets. May God bless you and yours. :-)
  2. Hi there...would like a support buddy too...I am originally from Corpus Christi but have been moving around the states because of my husband. As of right now We live in Corsicana, Tx but soon to move to Houston off of 290 freeway close to Willowbrook Mall. I had my surgery done in Ohio on September 9, 2013 and have had 4 stalls. At one time I gained ten pounds. But I am back to losing weight again by giving up on sugar and calories. My doctror told me just to lose 80% of my weight which is 200 lbs. But I want to get down to 180 lbs. So the sooner we move to Houston the better I can start to lose more pounds.
  3. I had mine done September 9, 2013 and have lost 80 pounds. I stopped losing weight because I have a hard time getting away from sugar and calories. Since January 1, 2015, I made a New Year's resolution and so far so good. I have lost 12 pounds. So my goal is to lose 30 more pounds by September 9, 2015 so I can be at my goal weight. My doctor is from Bowling Green, Ohio. His goal for me is to stay at 200lbs. But I want to keep going. So I will keep up with y'all welcome to the bariatric page.

  5. I am from Corpus Christi. But I had my bypass in September 2013 in Bowling Green, Ohio. I have lost a total of 82 lbs. Doing ok so far. Just dealing with aches and pains. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis and it seems to me that it got worse instead of better.
