  1. Aunt GG I tried 1 scrambled egg this morning and mushed it up and chewed but I think I ate too fast and got a little sick. Sometimes when I take a drink I feel a pain so I think it is the gulp is too big. When I sip it isn't bad. It is so hard not to just drink a lot.
  2. Omg this just made me cry. I am 10 days out and needed to hear this. Thank you!
  3. I am only 10 days post op and doing puree's. Do you have any energy by three weeks in? My daughter and I will go to the store and 5 minutes in there I feel like I am exhausted. I am so used to go go oh and not barely have energy to start to go. I am hoping this passes
  4. May I ask how far along are you? I was just banded on the 10th of this month but was hoping to enjoy the occasional glass of wine in a few months
  5. This is so the liquid isn't just pushing the food through which defeats the full feeling longer.
  6. Omg you had shrimp!! I am 7days post op and I am a seafood love and just saw a red lobster commercial and questioned if I could ever have shrimp lobster crab ... This just mad me happy! I find seafood is the easiest to eat- shrimp, crab, fish, crawfish. Lobster tends to feel a little "heavy" in the sleeve, but I can eat NEARLY a whole tail (with nothing else). That makes my day!!!
  7. Perfect thank you!!
  8. I am getting a drain, I'm afraid of the pain when they take it out. Is that super painful? Don't be afraid! I was and it took one sec and I was still thinking they were done and the nurse holding my hand was like you can breathe. It wasn't bad at all.
  9. 7 days post surgery...my back hurts so bad. I've walked, had daughter rub it, laid different ways... Is it safe to get a massage?

  11. Hi everyone! So the pain was from the tube. Once they took it out it went away! Thank heaven! In my mind I thought it was my appendix!!
  12. Don't peel them off! I took mine off from the lapband remove surgery and my incision came open on one of them. Let them come off or dr take them off when they feel they should! Good luck on your journey !
  13. Hi! I had surgery 3/10 and started pureeds on Saturday and struggling. I went to store and looked at baby foods. The fruits had sugars and no proteins. So I actually (I won't again) bought Gerbers turkey and gravy. I chocked down three bites. Any ideas how to make food with proteins puréed taste good I am all for!
  14. Thanks! I have stuck to watered today and my heart has slowed. I just had low fat refried beans and not the reaction from this morning. It is hard not knowing what is going on on the inside
  15. Mommy of threesweetboys, the fluttering... What had you done different. I am 5days out and started puréed today and my heart is fluttering a little and has me nervous
  16. I had mine on 3/10 as well but minus the hernia. No spasms. I hope it goes away quickly for you! Keep us posted.
  17. Hi everyone! I am 5 days post sleeve surgery and I think just nervous. I was on my liquid diet up through yesterday and this morning introduced a few bites of unsweetened applesauce. My heart seems to been moving a little quicker. But other than that I feel fine. I was checked for a leak on day two. I had my lap band removed 9weeks ago. Did anyone notice difference when going from liquid to puréed, maybe cuz my body hasn't had it in a while?
  18. If anyone has had drainage tube pain please share
  19. Hi everyone! I had sleeve surgery on Monday morning. All my incisions are upper abdomen and I have a drainage tube. I am doing great pain wise with the exception of a major pain in my lower right abdomen and it has me really scared. I am hoping it will go away when tube is taken out but starting to get worried. Has anyone had this problem?
