I'm having back pain too,. The past 2 days... Wonder why ??

Hello everyone... I had surgery on may 19.. I feel pretty good .. I have to make more of an effort to get my protein shakes in-i need to get my protein in!! On Monday I get to go to pureed foods.. Looking forward to that !!! I'm getting my walks in.. And Im pretty good with my water... Although we all could use more !!, but I feel like I constantly have a glass of water at my mouth !!! No problems with nausea.. Thank goodness !! So far so good !!! I've lost 20 lbs the week following surgery.. Can't complain about that !!!!

I am also one week post op .. On my right side I have that stinging ouchy pain also... I have found that "holding" that area helps.. I just wish it would go away... Its the only downside of surgery so far !!!!

Since I can't get up and down by myself.. I'm having to have people wait on me... I'm sooooo frustrated!!!

Had surgery on Monday.. Came home on Wednesday... I still need help getting up and down out of the recliner.... Ugggg its sooo frustrating...

Well 24 hours from now I will be in surgery.. My surgery is set for 9:30 am tomorrow.... Can't wait !!!!

I can't believe its finally time !! I started this process in December by going to a seminar.. Was denied twice by insurance.. And now finally surgery tomorrow... I'm not nervous or scared.. Just ready to start this new life and new opportunity.. I can't wait to see a year from now !!!

No, I didn't and boy do I wish I would have... I will NOT give into temptation.. But wow... Its definitely going to be a test !! But after surgery on the 19th I'm going to have the same temptation with the same restrictions .. So I view this as a good test... Just struggling....

So its day 4 of my liquid diet. We just came out camping today at the lake... I'm wanting to eat so bad... All I can think about is food uggg !! I was fine till we got out here.. But that being said.. My weakness for eating is when I'm not doing anything or when I'm bored... Guess what camping is.. Haha I'm not giving in to temptation. But wow.. Its really hard today..

OK.. So I know we're supposed to sip our water so we don't have pains from drinking too fast.. But how fast is too fast??? Like how much should I realistically drink in 15 minutes post surgery ?? If I take a sip.. Set the water down.. When can I take another sip without being in pain ??

I too am May 19th !! I started my 2 week liquid diet today also!!! Hope its not as horrible me as everyone says.. However I see a lot of people starting pureed foods before their Dr suggests because they can't stand liquids anymore... But I'm following Dr's orders to a T... If he says 6months of liquids then so be it... I just don't understand why people will go through the pain and expense of surgery only to not follow Dr orders.... I always say "my way doesn't work"... Time to follow drs orders !!!

They just called About a half hour ago !!surgery date of may 19 !!!!!

I just got my date... may 19 !!!!

I was told at my March weight management meeting that at my April appt I would receive my surgery date.... Well... Went to that yesterday.. Then they tell me I have to meet with the nutritionist one last time and the trainer one last time.. Then I'll receive my surgery date.... I'm just frustrated... My ins has no restrictions.. And I feel I've been jerked around for almost 6 months now... I wasn't mean or anything but I let them know my frustration with this process... Originally at my first appt they said my surgery would be the end of March or beginning of April... Well they said after that it would be the end of April beginning of may... Now they're saying late may.... Uggg
