Maybe you will be an inspiration to her to get healthier. My dad is 91 and he has diabetes, arthritis very bad, and has had 5 mini strokes, so I know your fears very well. It's scary to get news like that from a parent but she will be fine with her meds and her diet as well. Be strong for both of you. ????????

It's not horrible. After a few days not that big of a deal really. I only have ten days on it though. Go for my final pre-op appt Thursday. Meet with anesthesiologist and dr one last time, oh and my nutritionist. Keep in touch.

6 days to go for this lady!! I'm 58 yrs young. Have three kids 9 grand kids. I was a cheerleader in high school and college ...When I graduated high school and got married I weighed 98 lbs soaking wet!! After three kids and health issues my high weight was 220. WOW! what a difference!???? I know to some people that doesn't sound so bad but when you are 5ft 1 inch short, that's alot!!! So blessed to have this new life about to begin. Taking my grandkids on spring break next march to celebrate my one year anniversary. Hope to be as small as my grandkids. Lol. Wish me luck!!!

I'm telling everyone I'm having my gallbladder removed and when that's over I'm really going to focus on getting back in shape!!! Lol. My mom always told me. What others don't know won't hurt me!! Let 'em wonder!!! Too many fricking busy bodies that need to worry about themselves and not what we decide to do.

. Welcome Sharman! That's a great question, hopefully someone has some excellent suggestions,I will be alone too.I'm going to be alone recovery as well, but that's my choice. I have told no one except my two kids , But I prefer to not have people hovering over me Lol. Good luck to us aloners!!
