  2. Guys I need support!! I was so sick this week with a viral sore throat I couldn't swallow ANYTHING. So needless to say I went a week without vitamins and protein and water. I've been so dehydrated and weak idk how to get back to being stable! I'm slowly better but I'm SO TIRED.
  3. Let's see... I'm on my 6th week post op now. And down 35lbs. I went back to work as a nurse on a total care floor at week 5... No issues or pain whatsoever and it is physically demanding all day walking, pushing, pulling patients, CPR, etc. Plus on my off days I try to get a workout in. The appetite will get better... Just focus on protein and vitamins and water, you should be fine
  4. How is everyone?! Updates? Pics?
  5. Not on pain meds Tylenol only
  6. I'm gonna call my dr and nut tomorrow... I noticed that if I take Zyrtec (dissolvable 24hr) I don't break out. I'm assuming it's new sensitivities and out body adjusting. As far as he muscle cramps I have no idea... They come And go but boy do they hurt! I start back work tomorrow... Ah!
  7. Thanks guys. I'm taking my Bariatric calcium 4x day and it has all that in it, plus my Flinstones daily vits. Also, since the surgery EVERYTHING 'make me itch. I even break out in welps and hives... Any idea? It's driving me insane!!!
  8. Yes! I did! I did it! I walked most of it but jogged on and off. There is hope! don't give up ladies!
  9. Any advice for muscle aches? I noticed the more activity/ working out I do I feel as if I have growing pains ALL over my body. Today I did my first 5k... Very proud but very achy!! Hurts everywhere. Been getting at least 60 grams Protein. So not sure? Calcium? Taking my Vitamins too. Thanks guys!
  10. Hey guys!! Update on me- did my VERY FIRST 5K today!! It was the color run in Orange beach.. Walked most of it but I'm so proud of myself! If I can do it, we all can! Pretty sore but so worth it
  11. You guys I'm so sick of protein shakes!!! It's to the point I can't even take a sip without gagging. I've tried different brands too ugh and the isopure stuff is yuck! So I didn't get enough protein yesterday and today and BOY are my muscles SCREAMING at me. Hurts!
  12. Mobile Alabama? That's where I am!
  13. Mainly was made for rny gastric bypass surgeries. But all are welcome.
  14. Same here! Except on my right ugh I'm in years. You may have a hernia or pulled muscle
  15. Hey! They told me it's "normal" to have more pain on left If they did laparoscopic. But Today when I went to sit down I got a sharp intense pain on my RIGHT around rib cage area. I had been doing fine too! I called and waiting for the dr to call back.... Probably lifted too much.
  16. I definitely needed pain meds. And think I have a pain tolerance. Actually had to get it refilled to!
  17. Right now nothing for pain. Out of pain meds so I have liquid tylenol. Just took gas x hope it helps. Stall is when you don't loose weight for a week or so. It will pass, I got through mine but walker longer and a bit faster and upping my protein.
  18. Here's an update on my progress! 3 weeks out today and 30 lbs down!
  19. Boy, dehydration creeps up on you quickly. All of a sudden I feel awful. So bad a wanna cry. And my stomach is KILLING me. I felt so good earlier!! Stick with what you are doing, the stall will pass, mine did!
  20. So excited for you! Remember, some people have it easy after surgery and some don't... So if you need encouragement we'll be here! Just focus on liquids and you'll be ok! congrats!
  21. I'm 3 weeks out tomorrow. Get a farberware single blender/puréed machine at walmart. Then pretty much anything you can purée you can try. I got small spoons and forks from world market and small spice dishes for my Serving sizes. The other day i puréed my family's left over chicken breast with chicken broth. Went down fine! Cottage cheese and applesauce, hummus, any kind of beans (refried is good), Lima beans are good too. Loose grits, hot cereal. Purreed canned fruits or veggies.
  22. My nutritionist told me it is normal not to want to eat. If you aren't hungry, don't eat! Just make sure you get your water an protein shakes in and that is enough. Don't force it and don't rush it. I'm 3 weeks out and sometimes I only get one meal in, sometimes none. Just be sure to get your protein and vitamins and you'll be ok
  23. I've been walking about 30- 40 mins day. Trying I make sure I get a good sweat. I downloaded couch to 5k on my phone and attempted to jog a little bit (15-30secs at a time). Was a bit too early to try to jog. But I'm going to keep up the walking . Oh and if you have a smartphone- spotify has a workout playlist that is awesome!
  24. Yeah i definitely didn't tolerate tuna. Try yogurt, cottage cheese and applesauce with a bit of Splenda, retried beans and some cheese- those are all ones I have tolerated.
